ACTIVITIES:-
1) Take a broom stick. Mark 8cm,4cm,8cm and 4cm on it and fold it to make a
rectangle. Add up all the sides and find the total length. Open the rectangle
and measure the length of the broom stick. Check whether the measurement is
same. Repeat the activity to make square and triangle.

2) Divide the children into 6 groups. Ask them to find the length of the
boundary of things in the class eg-teacher’s table ,bench, bulletin board..
3) Divide the children into 6 groups and visit the cycle stand in your school.
Let each group measure and find the total length around the front wheel and
back wheel of 1 cycle with a plastic rope. Are they same?

4) Divide the children into pairs. Let one child lay down on the floor and ask
the other one to draw a rectangle around him. Measure the length and breadth
of the rectangle and find the perimeter. Repeat the activity with the other child
and compare .

5) Collect some leaves from your garden. Place them on the squared sheet.
Trace out their edges and check how many squares there are in each leaf.

6) Give 50 buttons to students of each bench. Give them 10 plastic covers. Ask
them to pack the buttons equally in each packet. Repeat the activity with
different number of packets. Write the corresponding division facts.
