® Sizing, Selection, Installation & Maintenance Instructions for

Piston Type Water Hammer Arrestor

SIZING AND SELECTION

1. Determine number of fixture units from Table l.
2. Determine shock arrester size from Table II.
INSTALLATION 3. Finally, match arrester to size and length of pipe run from Table lll.
1. Flush lines thoroughly prior to installation of Model Z1705.
2. Determine size of Water Hammer Arrester based on fixture units then TABLE I
refer to charts for proper devices. 1705

4. To insure proper performance, the Model Z1705 should be installed
so that there is an unobstructed path to the arrester. WATER HAMMER ARRESTER QUICK CLOSURE VALVE
