SUBJECT: DEVELOPMENT OF ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY MODE (ADM)
MODULES

1. This has reference to Regional Memoranda No. 090 and 091,series 2020 on the
Development of Learning Resource and Survey on Alternative Learning Delivery Modes,
which calls on all teachers to develop inclusive/contextualized, competency based K
to 12 modules prioritizing First and Second Quarters that may be delivered through
online or offline modes.

2. All supervisors and school heads are also requested to develop a module.

3. To guide the developers in writing and to facilitate the Quality Assurance of the
modules, a format is provided in accordance with BLR development standards and ADM
design as attachments in this memorandum:

Enclosure 1: Elements and Technical Specifications of LR Module

Enclosure 2: Sample of LR Module lay-out

Enclosure 3: Sample of ADM Module in Araling Panlipunan and Math

4. In addition, an electronic Quality Assurance tool will be provided and be accessible in


each District Chat Groups which will be used by the School and Division QA team.

5. Submission to the Division Office of the developed modules which should be initially
quality assured by the school LR team and ADM coordinator, shall be from May 8 to
June 11,2020 through lrmds.depedtabukcity@gmail.com

6. It is requested that PSDSs and EPSs should stay in close coordination with their districts
for the development of modules across all learning areas.

7. Three (3) days service credits will be given to teacher-developers as per DepEd Order
No. 53 s.2003. An additional two (2) days service credits will be given as the learning
resource passes the Division Quality Assurance.

20. Relative to DepEd Memorandum No. 090, s. 2019, entitled 3rd National Competition on
Story Book Writing, the following addendum are made:

a. There will be a DIVISION LEVEL contest on GRAPHIC DESIGNING for story


books.

b. The activity aims to select the best three (3) graphic designers to represent the
division in the Regional storybook graphic designing scheduled in the first week of
October; and, to recognize the skills and competencies of teachers in illustrating
stories for children.

c. The contest is open to all teaching and non-teaching personnel of the schools division.
d. The participating graphic designers shall serve as both illustrator of the chosen
storybook.

e. Interested graphic designer shall come at the LRMDS office on September 23, 2019
to get the soft and hard copy of the story to be illustrated.

f. In order that the participants will not be absent from their classes, they are allowed to
bring home the chosen story to illustrate and submit it to the division office on or
before September 26, 2019.

g. The top three (3) winning graphic designers will join the Regional storybook graphic
designing scheduled in the first week of October.

1. In support to the National Reading Month Celebration and to the Every Child A Reading Program
(ECARP) of the Department of Education , the Schools Division of Tabuk City will hold the Division
Level Read-A-Thon on November 23, 2018 at Bulanao Central School, Bulanao, Tabuk City.

2. The activity aims to :


a. harness the skills of learners in reading and speaking ;
b. showcase talents in reading, storytelling and speaking; and
c. recognize the effort of teachers in effectively teaching reading demonstrated
by the competence of learners.

3. The events to be contested are the following:

READ-ATHON 2018

General Guidelines:

1. Each district shall have only one(1) entry for each event in the division contest
2. Drawing of lots shall be done before the contest proper

3. Each participating school is required to abide by the contests’ guidelines and mechanics herein stipulated.
4. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.

ELEMENTARY CONTESTS:

A. Story Telling (MTB) (Grade 1)

1. The story could be original or a composition using the mother tongue of the community.
2. The delivery will be 3-4 minutes only
3. Criteria for Judging:
a. Story Content (suitability to age level) 50%
b. Mechanics 20%
c. Voice Projection and Expression 10%
d. Use of Correct Language 10%
e. Audience Impact 5%
f. Level of Confidence 5%

C. Spelling (English) (Grade 3)

1. Contestants will be given a story to read. Reading time is 30 minutes. Coaches will not be
allowed to interact with the contestants during reading time.
2. After reading, the spelling master will read words from the story for contestants to write.
3. There shall be time limit of 15 seconds for the pupils to write each word.
4. Metacards will be used as answer sheet and answers will be checked immediately after each word
given.
5. The contestant with the highest number of correctly spelled words wins.

D. Chamber Theater (English) (Grades 4-6)

1. The 12 contestants will come from Grades 4, 5 and 6.


2. There should only be one contestant per district.
3. The contested piece is entitled “ The Foolish Cats and the Wise Monkeys” (Enclosure 2)
4. Coaches are allowed to make their creative arrangement of the story.
5. Allotted time for the performance is 10 minutes inclusive of entrance and exit.

6. Criteria for Judging Chamber Theater:


a. Interpretation 40%
- Use of appropriate vocal expression including
proper phrasing, timing, pacing and correct
emotion
b. Projection-Voice Mechanics 25%
c. Level of Confidence 10%
d. Mastery 25%

SECONDARY LEVEL CONTESTS:

A. Readers’ Theater: (Grade 7 or 8)


1. There shall be 1 entry composed of a group of 12 participants per district.
2. Mechanically or instrumental sound effects are not allowed; however, vocally emitted sounds or sound
effects created by the performers are permissible.
3. The contest piece will be “The King of the Forest.” Coaches are allowed to make their creative
arrangement of the story.
4. Allotted time for the performance is 10 minutes inclusive of entrance and exit.
5. Criteria for judging the delivery
a. Delivery (fluency, pronunciation, diction -35%
/Enunciation )
b. Voice Projection and expression ( Variety/ volume) - 25%

deduction from the total rating.

4. Criteria for judging shall be as follows:


a. Content/ Substance 40%
b. Mastery 20%
c. Articulation 25%
d. Stage Presence 15%

24. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 125, s. 2018, this is to announce the conduct of
Storybook Writing Contest in the Division Level.

25. The objectives of the activity are:

a) select and award the best storybook originally developed by teachers for
the K to 3 grade levels;
b) recognize the skills and competencies of teachers in writing and illustrating
stories for children; and,
c) collect storybooks for division wide utilization and for possible uploading on
the Learning Resource Portal.

26. The competition is open to all public school teachers within the schools division
including ALS mobile teachers and Senior High School teachers.
27. Submission and screening of manuscripts will be on August 28, 2018 during the Buwan
ng Wika Celebration.
28. Any entry found to have been copied or plagiarized shall be automatically disqualified.
29. The best three (3) stories per grade level adjudged by the Division Screening Committee
shall be transmitted to the Regional Office for the next level of the competition.
30. The mechanics of the competition is provided in Enclosure No.1 with supporting guides
and requirements in Enclosure 2-5.

3. The conference aims to enhance the pedagogical skills of Grade 2 teachers in teaching
reading in the Mother Tongue and the bridging process.

4. Participants must be teaching in Grade 2. Further, they are requested to finish the
number of days intended for the training. They are also expected to be at the venue
before 12:00 o’clock on November 19, 2018 for the Opening Program and for the first
session.

121. This is to announce the conduct of the Division Seminar –Workshop on the
Development of Contextualized Learning Resources and Quality Assurance of Teacher-
Developed Instructional Materials on August 3-4, 2017 at Davidson Square, Bulanao, Tabuk
City.

122. At the end of the seminar-workshop, the participants shall:


k. be capacitated on LRMDS sub-processes and functions
l. provided with strategies and processes on the development of learning materials
m. acquainted with the different tools on Quality Assurance of LRs
n. develop at least one (1) print and one (1) ICT based quality assured instructional
material for school and division wide utilization
o. develop a two-Year School LRMDS Plan

124. School ICT coordinators are also encouraged to join as members of the school LRMDS
and QA team. A registration fee of three hundred sixty (P360.00) pesos shall be collected from
ICT coordinators for 2 meals and four (4) snacks charged against local funds subject to the usual
accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

1. The Learning Resources Management and Development System (LRMDS) ) is designed to


support increased distribution and access to learning, teaching and professional development resources
at the Region, Division and School/Cluster levels of DepED. It is also a quality assurance system providing
support to DepED Regions, Divisions and Schools in the selection and acquisition of quality digital and
non-digital resources in response to identified local educational needs.

2. Relative to this, harvest of teacher- developed learning resources (print or non-print) and
contextualized DLLs developed for SY 2016-2017 is enjoined for quality assurance in the division level.
It also serves as an inventory of learning and teaching resources relating to competencies required by
the curriculum other than textbooks that exist at the school level.

3. Submitted learning resources should have been evaluated/quality assured in the school level by
the LR team duly signed by the School Head and the Public Schools District Supervisor.

4. Deadline for submission is June 30, 2017 and monitoring of School Learning Resources
Management and Development Centers starts July 5, 2017.

SUBJECT: Training Conference on Digitization, Animation and Plan Adjustments For Division
and Region LRMDS Core Team

1. Pursuant to Regional Memorandum No. 279, series of 2016, there will be a four day training-
Conference for Division LRMDS and Regional Office Core Teams with the objective of keeping
with the mandate of digitizing and incorporating animation to the Learning Resources as well as
Monitoring and Evaluating Action Plans of Division LRMDS.

2. The activity will be on October 25-28, 2016 at the Stephen N. Capuyan Hall, DepEd, Wangal, La
Trinidad, Benguet.

3. Participants to this training will be the following:

LRMDS Manager
SDO Librarian
PDO (LRMDS)
2 LR Developers – 1 secondary (NTD) - TCNHS
-1 elementary (WTD) - Judith Sagayo
Illustrator- (ETD) Ceasar Ranjo

4. Participants outside Baguio and Benguet areas will be lodged at NEAP-R. The first meal shall be
breakfast of October 25 and last meal is dinner of October 28, 2016. Please confirm attendance
for reservation purposes on or before October 21, 2016.

5. LRMDS Managers are expected to report on the status of Action Plan Implementation in the
division during the conference.

6. Participants are requested to bring their own laptops, flash drives and pocket Wi-Fi.

7. Lodging, food and kits of the participants shall be charged against Regional MOOE, while travel
expenses shall be charged to local funds and subject to the usual accounting rules and
regulations.
