Cultural Differences between India and France

Main cultural difference between India and France is punctuality of

the work and time how people are in France are so dedicated to do on time . When we
compare in India the time is little fluctuating zones . In India there are lot number of
population and also very un organised public transport here as in France I observe most of
the people trust and use the public transport . I personally believe that France is having one
of the best public transport system .
Education system
In India most of the universities and schools are owned private . Most of
the people think in India education system involves with money . Where as in France most
of the schools are public and people most of them get free education between 6 to 16 . Not
a burden home work just have to do assignment . In India exams will be present after every
semester . Where as in France exams and also assignments plays vital role in the grades . In
France most of the schools are named in respect to famous personalities . In week off
system of schools here most of them will provide week off on Wednesday and some times
on Saturday . Sponsoring of cultural activities here is a complicates thing where as in India
most of the extra cultural activities will be conducted by schools or the universities will
provide some sponsorship . In India most of the teachers will stay in college all day long
where as in France most of the teachers works in different schools so they adjust according
to the college classes timings . Paying schools fees is also plays good roll in India when the
student is poor he will skip or drop the classes to save some money . In France at least
some basic education system is sponsored by government it means free . In India most the
teaching is problem solving , in France most of the education is multi studies with culture
and education skills .

Food Culture
France and india is two different cultures they are having very distinctive
cusines . France food is most non vegetarian food . When in india all the snacks and main
meals are mostly vegetarian . Here interested me to explain about festivals which in india
have a lot of festivals the most people are hindus people make vegetarian food and dedicate
that day in name of the god . I observed main staple food for french people is bread and jam
for indians they have very intensive gastro break fast which lead most of the people fat
percentage is high . Slowly india is also using some techniques how to reduce the fat
percentage in food . French food is rich in culture as well as india cusine but as an india new
to paris I observed here many exotic dishes . Where as in india exotic food is very common
and easily available. Preparing french breakfast is very easy we can make in minutes . Indian
food preparing is time taking also a lot spices have to add . Indian food is little spicy when
we compare to french food . Food textures are slightly different in india and france . Here in
france most of the food texture is bread , jelly and creams where as in india most of the
textures is crisps and some texture is hard to chew . In india food taste also matters ,
actually it varies on geographical location in south india food is spice in north india the food
taste is less spice .

Business Structure :
As an india developing country and also india just got digital
revolution so many startups have registered and also in monetization stage . The hierarchial
positions is different in india and france . The main crucial person like chairman or director
will take the decisions most in case there will be no board meeting . Superior power
authority in business will implies to the owner or the managing directors . Here in france its
much flat company structure every employee is given creative freedom and also other
employee listens and respect the decisions which made by others . Punctuality in india is
much more complexed because most of the dense population its like less punctual is very
common and also every body will face the getting late in office situation very often . As a
developing country india offices still uses paper work as crucial . This is very time taking and
also risk if its lost , in the france most of the work is technology oriented this gives very less
oppurtunity to carry paper work .
In france employees have laws that will help to live in quality life where as in personal and
work life . Every employee will get paid if he/she works for overtime .

Daily chores :
India has the large number of population which indirectly means the
availability of labour services is very cheap like cleaning of house , washing , gardening ,
electrical and car problems . This is not the scenario in the France the availability of skilled
labour is expensive . It is very common people do these house works by their own . Which
also leads to more cost .

Language Speaking :
France mostly speak french and in some parts people speak spanish .
Not this case in india we have a lot of languages telugu , tamil , hindi , marathi etc … there is
a quote saying “billion people million languages “ I agree with the quote in india people
speak language according to their geographical locations . In north most people speak hindi
when we consider south india telugu and tamil is most common language . At , first I was
very confused in paris because most of the language is in french but later on I started to
think it gave me best opportunity to learn french . Now , I am very much comfortable with
french language daily I am learning new words and trying to form sentences .

France is very much into art and historical appreciation there are so many
museums , historical places to visit . We can find very much advanced and modern culture in
france the main motive of the french culture is capitalism , individualism , human rights and
ethical values . Most number of people are related to Christian and Judaism , here people
are very much give importance to needs , desires and happiness . Ballet dance and ballroom
dance are very famous in france . The french architecture , paintings and art is very much
appreciated all among the world .
