A results driven, as well as people oriented Project Officer with an extensive successful project
Management and resource aquisition experience. Experience in Design, Monitoring and
Evaluation of projects from both public and private sector including SWIED, GIZ, UNHabitat, UCDA,
LWR, Butaleja LG, Quality farm produce, and ACCC among others. Demonstrated expertise in
Programme/Project Design, Monitoring and Evaluation, Research & Documentation, Logical

MEAL Coordinator, South Western Institute on Environment and Development (SWIED)
I am responsible for establishing and implementing systems to promote evidence-based decision-
making, programme and project performance, and internal management. In my role, i contribute
to quality programming through supporting access to and use of relevant and timely information
on programme scale, relevance, and effectiveness. I also provide technical support to in-country
staff pertaining to M&E and build capacity in the country by identifying and supporting the
implementation of effective, cost efficient and meaningful M&E systems.
 Developed and maintained a functional work plan tracking tools and measures. This led
to management of the organizations budget for the different activities.
 Provided administrative and technical support to the SWIED’s Programme Oversight
Committee and the Monitoring & Evaluation function of SWIED. This led to strict adherence
to the organization’s guidelines and achievement of the targets.
 Supported knowledge management, communication, information sharing, and publicity
of SWIED’s activities. This led to sharing of the right information that maintained the
organization’s reputation.
 Supported development and implementation of work Plans, Budget, and Performance
Evaluation frameworks. This resulted into good management of the resources, and timely
achievement of targets.
 Generated and disseminated analysis MEL reports to project partners on weekly, monthly
and quarterly basis. This resulted into timely and right decision making.

In this role, I was in lecturing HealthPromotion, Biostastics, quality and safety in healthcare to

Emergency Health and Nutrition Coordinator, South Western Insitute on Environment and
Development
I was responsible for ensuring all Health and Nutrition programming was of excellent technical
quality, attracting significant donor funding and contributing significantly to the strategic
objectives, national/global.
I was also responsible for providing technical advice and support to programme staff to ensure
programming objectives are successfully achieved.
 Coordinated closely with SWIED's health, water and sanitation, food security, and other
relevant teams to ensure integrated programming across sectors. This cut the organizations
expenditure by 25%.
 Spearheaded active community outreach programs are established to increase
coverage of health and nutrition programs. This improved the prevalence of diseases
by 30% in the implementing communities.
 Ensured the proper maintenance and management of health and nutrition commodities
and stock and ensure the proper mobilization of relevant components of the stock in case
of emergencies. This led to timely and appropriate delivery of commodities to the
beneficiaries.
 Successfully supervised staff in managing grant/program implementation including staff
recruitment and training, work plan development, procurement and inventory planning,
and budget management. This led to successful timely implementation of the planned
activities.
 Successfully designed nutrition program responses and strategy, including geographic
areas of intervention. This resulted into proper management of resources without wastage

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, South Western Institute on Environment and Development
I was responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and
evaluation, research, and learning framework of the organisation. I was also responsible for
developing a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative
evidence gathered by the Organization. I was also providing technical assistance in relation to
monitoring, reporting and governance issues.
 Trained data collectors on data collection tools, reporting formats and methodology. This
improved the quality of data and reduced resource loss by 30%.
 Monitored progress of implementation to ensure quality and guide management in follow
up actions. This improved the quality of services and reduced financial loss by 20%.
 Designed and upgraded M&E database to ensure that high quality data is collected from
the Districts, submit to head office and enter it into the system.
 Carried out support supervision of M&E Officers and data clerks to ensuring M&E
involvement at every stage of the project/ program cycle. This led to improved results
 Liaised with line ministries and partners to help improve on the accessibility to accurate
data. This ensured timely availability and accessibility of data hence time saving.

Consultant (Natural Resource Management), Lutheran World Relief
 Developed and adapted training materials and train project staff on climate change
issues as they relate to agricultural live hoods on Mt. Elgon and provided on-going
technical assistance for staff. 70% of the trainees set up climate smart agricultural
demonstration sites within 3 months.
 Organized training events and other learning events for farmers and other stake holders.
60% of the trainees started practicing climate smart agriculture on their farms in 2 months.
 Networked with Government and other stakeholders in implementation of NRM and
climate change adaptation activities. The organization received 100 kgs of the tree seeds
from NFA and 100,000 of tree seedlings from partners and this saved the organization’s
resources by 30%.
 Coordinated with relevant government technical staff and other stakeholders in
supporting the project’s soil and water conservation efforts to ensure implementation of
jointly agreed work plan. This increased the geographical coverage by 50%.
 Designed and implemented climate change adaptation strategies and action with
targeted farmers from the partner primary Cooperative societies. 65% of the farmers in the
partner primary cooperative societies adopted the climate change strategies in 4 months.
