SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES

Ingestion: Not anticipated to be an ingestion hazard, although excessive ingestion

may cause gastrointestinal disturbance. Seek medical attention if symptoms
occur.
Inhalation: Not anticipated to be an inhalation hazard under normal use.
Excessive inhalation of mists may cause irritation - remove exposed
person to fresh air if adverse effects are observed.
Skin Contact: Not anticipated to be a skin irritant under normal use. If skin
irritation or rash occurs, seek medical attention.
Eye contact: Not anticipated to be an eye irritant under normal use. If irritation
occurs, flush thoroughly with water for a minimum of 15 minutes.

SECTION 5 - FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

General Fire Hazards: Material may present a fire hazard when dispersed or spread by water.
Flashpoint 600°F – 625°F
Extinguishing media Use Dry Chemical Powder, Carbon Dioxide, Foam, Sand, or Fog
Decomposition Products Fire may generate smoke consisting of acrolein, carbon
monoxide, and carbon dioxide.
Lower Flame Limit: ND
Upper Flame Limit: ND
Unusual Fire & Explosion
Hazards: There is a risk of ignition from saturated rags or other saturated
combustible materials; these materials should be kept in metal cans
with tight-fitting lids (preferably steel oily waste safety cans).
Fire Fighting Equipment: As in any fire, Fire Fighters and others exposed to products of
combustion should wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

CHEMICAL EMERGENCY NUMBER (24 HOURS): CHEMTREC

USA/Canada Call 1-800 424-9300 CHEMTREC
Outside USA/Canada Call 1-703-527-3887

Spill: Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk. Dike area around spill for
recovery and disposal. Vacuum free liquid for recycle and/or disposal.
Residual liquid can be absorbed on inert material. Prevent entry into
waterways, sewer, basements or confined areas. Avoid high pressure
spraying when cleaning, or other method which might generate
respirable aerosols.
RCRA Status: As sold, product is not a Characteristic or Listed RCRA
hazardous waste.

SECTION 7 - HANDLING & STORAGE

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices. These practices include avoiding
unnecessary exposure and prompt removal of material from eyes, skin and clothing. Good housekeeping is
essential in reducing possible slipping hazard.

Store away from open flames, hot surfaces, or other potential ignition sources. Provide sufficient general
ventilation during and after application. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin, eyes and clothing. After
handling this product, wash hands before eating, drinking or smoking. If necessary, take first aid action shown in
Section 4.

SECTION 8 – EXPOSURE CONTROL/PERSONAL PROTECTION

General Considerations:
Consider the potential hazards of this material (see section 3), applicable exposure limits, job activities, and other
substances in the work place when designing engineering controls and selecting protective equipment.

Eye Protection: Use goggles or safety glasses with faceshield if splashing is possible.
Respiratory Protection: Not normally needed. Use NIOSH-approved respirator if exposure is unknown or
exceeds any permissible limits.
Protective Gloves: Wear impervious gloves.
Ventilation: General or Local exhaust.
Local Exhaust: Recommended in enclosed places or where material is aerosolized.

Protective Equipment: Hmis Personal Protection: B: Safety Glasses, Oil-resistant gloves, and
NIOSH/MSHA-approved respirator, if usage produces aerosols.
