Afs Ball Valve Release Note
Swagelok AFS ball valves for high-pressure, high flow applications are now available. Offering working pressures to 6000
psig (413 bar) and flow coefficients from 4.0 to 13.8, the 2-way ball valves meet the demands of hydrogen and compressed
natural gas applications that require ANSI / NGV 3.1 or ANSI / NGV 4.6 certified products.
Features
· Unique ultra low-temperature fluorocarbon O-ring material seals across the full temperature range of the valve, -40 to 250
degrees F (-40 to 121 degrees C).
· Robust, spring-loaded seat design (patent pending), does not require adjustment after the valve is installed.
· All wetted components are compatible with hydrogen and compressed natural gas.
· Easily field serviced with available seal kit.
· AFS ball valves are certified to ANSI / NGV 3.1, 3600 psig (248 bar) and ANSI / NGV 4.6 Class B, 4500 psig (319 bar).
· End connections include Swagelok tube fitting (fractional and metric), ISO, and NPT tapered female.
· Choice of manual or pneumatic actuation. Both Swagelok and ISO 5211 compliant pneumatic actuators are available, either
factory-assembled to valves or for installation in the field.
