SUBJUNCTIVE WISH
Penting untuk diingat bahwa pengertian dan pola kalimat wish sama dengan if-clause atau unreal condition.
Contoh :
1. Present unreal condition : If I were rich, I would be very happy (kenyataan =I am not rich, Im not very
happy)
Sama dengan Present wish : I wish I were rich (kenyataan = I am not rich)
2. Past unreal condition : If you had been to the party last night, you would have
enjoyed it (kenyataan = you were not in the party, you would not enjoy it)
Sama dengan Past wish : We wish that you had been to the party last night (kenyataan = you were not in
the party last night.
