2. Why do ESP program exist?


 ESP exist because it is important, this approach enhances the relevance of what
the students are learning, and it helps them or enables them to use English, to
develop their communicative competence. English now a days is important, it’s a
must to learn English language due to it is use globally or internationally.

3. How do the ESP program works?


 According to what I read ESP is defined to meet specific needs of learners, it
makes use of the underlying methodology and activities of the discipline it serves
and ESP is centered on the language (Grammar) and skills.

1. In your own words, define Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment


CURRICULUM – curriculum refers to the lesson, the content taught inside the four
corners of school. These are also the materials they use or the subject mattered used
by the teachers for their learners to learn or attained. Specific course of study that
contains the whole lesson for a year. Of course there are many definitions, yet we all
know that curriculum is a dynamic process, it changes depends on what will be
suitable or fit for everyone.
INSTRUCTION - These are the guides that helps a remedial program to succeed. A
step by step action.
ASSESSMENT – Assessment is gathering information, any information that can help
you and your learners at the same time, Assessment helps a lot when it comes on
giving the final result or evaluation. It will also serve as the evidence or proof if
there’s learning happened or the specific data has been attained.

2. What are the functions of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in remedial


instruction program?
The functions of Curriculum is to reassure students that they are on the right track
on reaching their goals and their desired skills, it will serve as a pathway,
Curriculum also intended to teach our students the importance of responsibility,
hard work and patriotism. While Instruction is to help people learn, instruction
will make the learning easier and enjoyable at the same time. And Assessment is
to provide a feedback, its function is to help on gathering data or information
needed in able for a teaching to know if his/her students learned from their lesson.

3. How does each factor in organizing remedial program may affect the success of the
program?
 Remedial program will be successful if it is planned well and organized. I think
that The 3 factors will serve as a stepping point on organizing/planning a
program. You’ll get to know the step by step procedures, what will be the
appropriate lesson or the best instruction to you will use in conducting a remedial
program. It’s about knowing your target. Curriculum will help you on what the
things the need to improve, what materials to use and many more, while
instruction and assessment will also a big help due to you’ll be able to know if the
program become successful or not.
