1. What is the meaning of Philosophy of life?

- The meaning of Philosophy of Life is an overall vision or attitude toward life and the

purpose of it. It is the understanding of life, in how the world works and how you fit in
the world.

2. What constitutes a human person?

- I think that what constitutes a human person is their certain capacities and attributes such
reason, morality, consciousness or self-consciousness and being able to discern free-will
to develop an understanding about the world, the nature of the universe and everything
distinctively human.

3. Why do we do Philosophy?

- The reason why we do philosophy is to seek and to understand fundamental truths about
ourselves, and the relationships to the world and to each other. We use it to find meaning
in life, to understand the language we use to describe the world and our place within it, to
understand how things work.

4. What is philosophy in simple words?

- Philosophy can be simply defined as way of thinking about the world, the universe, and
society. It works by asking very basic questions about the nature of human thought, the
nature of the universe, and the connections between them.

5. What is the importance of studying philosophy?

- Studying philosophy seeks to understand the mysteries of existence and reality. It tries to
discover the nature of truth and knowledge and to find what is of basic value and
importance in life. It also examines the relationships between humanity and nature and
between the individual and society. By studying philosophy, people can clarify what they
believe, and they can be stimulated to think about ultimate questions.

6. What is the purpose of philosophy?

- I think that philosophy uses the tools of logic and reason to analyze the ways in which
humans experience the world. In reach of its purpose it teaches us critical thinking skills
to be able to look after ourselves, to answer important questions in our lives in which will
become a guiding principle in life, provided with the tools, and the opportunity to develop
and express our own philosophical views.

7. What are the types of philosophy?

 Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy concerned with the study of "first

principles" and "being. Metaphysics is the study of the most general aspects of
reality, pertaining to subjects such as substance, identity, the nature of the mind,
and free will.
 Epistemology is the branch of philosophy that deals with the nature, origin,
scope and possibility of knowledge.

 Logic originally meaning the word, or what is spoken, but coming to mean
thought or reason) is most often said to be the study of arguments. Logic is the
study of correct reasoning.
 Ethics is a general term for what is often described as the "science (study) of
morality". In philosophy, ethical behaviour is that which is "good" or "right". The
Western tradition of ethics is sometimes called moral philosophy.
 Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy that explores the creation and appreciation
of beauty through critical analysis and reflection.

8. What are the philosophy activities?

- Some activities of a philosophical understanding may include first of all, asking

questions. To ponder about what you want to learn about and garnering information to
satisfy the need to know. Another is to reflect upon oneself, to seek guidance pertaining
on living one’s life. And in conclusion opening up to the world, retrieve answers from
different sources and from all walks of life, to get a better sense of discipline in yourself
and most importantly, to gain knowledge.

9. Who is the father of philosophy?

- The Father of Philosophy is Socrates.

10. What is the best definition of philosophy?

- The best definition of philosophy for me is that Philosophy is the study of general and
fundamental problems, such as those connected with reality, existence, knowledge,
values, reason, mind, and language. And that it is clearly distinguished from other ways
of addressing such problems by its critical, and generally systematic approach. The word
"philosophy" comes from the Ancient Greek (philosophia), which literally means "love of
wisdom".

11. Why philosophy is important in our life?

- Philosophy is important in our lives because simply philosophy can transform your
perspective towards life. By turning your mind to the consideration of the most basic
questions concerning reality, human existence, and God, you open yourself to a world of
possibilities for understanding the world and our place within it. By exercising your mind
in the disciplines of critical and logical thought, you gain the ability to imagine, debate,
and clarify the nature of the good life.

12. What is philosophy all about?

- Philosophy is all about the study of knowledge in which it is disciplined to look for
reasoned answers to certain very abstract questions, usually left unasked in everyday life,
about the nature of the universe and the place in it of humans and everything distinctively
human.
13. What is philosophy of the human person?

- The philosophy of the human person is a continuation and development of the idea of the
human being as found in Aristotle which says that a human being is composed of matter

and form, the body being matter and the form being soul. The form carries the act of
existence of anything.
