I believe I did well in interviewing candidates for the positions we had open. The
experience was great, and being involved helped me realize how important it is for the school.
Standard 3 better aligns with my internship involvement in interviewing teachers. Standard 3.0
states "building-level education leader applies knowledge that promotes the success of every student by
ensuring the management of the school organization, operation, and resources through monitoring and
evaluating the school management and operational systems; efficiently using human, fiscal, and
technological resources in a school environment; promoting and protecting the welfare and safety of
school students and staff; developing school capacity for distributed leadership; and ensuring that
teacher and organizational time is focused on supporting high-quality instruction and student
participating in the evaluation of the school management because I had a voice in who I thought
In my hours working at the campus, I think I did not do so well with standard 6. I did not
participate much in broader political, social-economic, or legal to advocate for students. Standard

economic, legal, and cultural context through advocating for school students, families, and

I will start by attending board meetings in the future. Being involved in the district is
important and meeting all the community members that are involved. The community is always
attending the board meetings, and it would help me be more involved with them, so they can see
I'm interested in being a part of their community. The board members are also key stakeholders
that I need to be familiar with and, hopefully, one day have their support as a leader. It has also
been challenging to be involved in many community gatherings due to the pandemic, and I'm
