Error:

Could not start the Relyon License Manager .NET service on local computer. Error 1053: The service
did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Causes:

Relyon License Manager .Net service might be corrupted.


It is may be problem with corrupted .Net Framework.

Solution 1:

Check for the file “GetDiskSerial.dll” in service installed path, if not found paste it from the
application path(RELYON PRODUCTS).

Solution 2:

Open COMMAND PROMPT as administrator, then run the below command as applicable.

Uninstall Relyon License Manager Service:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\InstallUtil.exe /u “C:\Program Files\Common


Files\RelyonSoft\RLMDNService09.exe”

Install Relyon License Manager Service:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\InstallUtil.exe “C:\Program Files\Common


Files\RelyonSoft\RLMDNService09.exe”

Solution 3:

NOTE: This Workaround is not applicable for windowsVista and above Operating system,
as .NET Framework is inbuilt in OPERATING system.

It is problem in .Net Framework.


Un-install .NET Framework from Add\Remove Programs
Run .NET Framework Cleanup utility to completely remove all the components (registry) of .NET

Framework and
Rename the folder “C:\WINDOWS\assembly” to “C:\WINDOWS\assembly_old”
Rename the folder “C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET” to “C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET_old”
Later try Re-installing .NET Framework
