    you first login ONLY.

    Do’s & Don'ts – School of Insurance

    • First time users please check the ONLINE DEMO in the left hand section of the www.schoolofinsurance.in
    website.

    • Also, please check the system requirement's demo on www.schoolofinsurance.in which is a MS word
    document on the left hand side of the home page, the demo will guide you through the technical aspects of
    the new system ( Browser requirements, Browser settings and Java Virtual Machine version etc.,) and also
    shall acclimatize you with the course, as well.

    • Validity of your Login ID will be as given below (from the time you first login) :
    o Pre-licensing : Minimum 7 days and Maximum of 15 days.
    o Pre-licensing with professional qualification : Minimum 4 days and Maximum of 8 days.
    o License Renewal Course : Minimum 4 days and Maximum of 8 days.

    • As per IRDA guidelines, after the above mentioned period the User ID is blocked automatically and you
    need to re-register for the course. Time already spent will not be considered when you re-register yourself.

    • You cannot open multiple windows for browsing the course at any given time ONLY ONE ID OF SCHOOL
    OF INSURANCE CAN BE OPENED, INCASE YOU TRY LOGIN WITH MULTIPLE ID’S YOU WILL BE THROWN
    OUT OF THE SESSION AND NEED TO RELOGIN, AGAIN.

    • Learning Session: Your Study Session would be restricted to four hours and after expiry of each session a
    new password would be generated and sent to you through SMS only on your mobile number registered on
    the IRDA online portal.

    • You cannot login for more than 8 hours in a day for any of the programs

    • You cannot leave the page “IDLE” for more than 8 minutes. In which case, you will be “Logged Out” off the
    session and you need to re-login.

    • You have to “Logout” each time you “Login”

    • Whenever, the candidate wishes to take a training session, he will make an online request on our portal
    requesting for the password. The portal will immediately send the password through SMS to the candidate
    on his mobile number registered on the IRDA online portal. The password communicates to you would be
    valid for a session and automatically expire at the end-of- Each session.

    • At each logoff the password will change and communicated through SMS to you.

    • Each Chapter / Lesson has a minimum time to be spent, once the minimum time spent exceeds the
    Chapter / lesson time, time tracking will be stopped.

    • Once the candidate logs in, he/she will see two different timings i.e., Chapter time spent and total time
    spent. They have to spend time on the chapter which will only start when they go into the chapter and which
    will total up to the stipulated time (i.e. 50 or 25).

    • In accordance with IRDA guidelines, it is mandatory to finish 50 / 25 hrs of training, without which the
    completion certificate will not be issued. Any requests, whatsoever will not be entertained by School of
    Insurance, in this regard.

    Step’s to proceed with the Course:

    Step 1) Open the "Internet Explorer" (Browser) Window and type the address as follows:-
    http://www.schoolofinsurance.in & Press the 'Enter' key

    Step 2) Enter your User Name and Password (sent to you in an email) in the "Student Login" box as "Login
    Id" and "Password" section on the right hand side of the page

    Step 3) Click on the "Login" Button to login into the course

    Step 4) At the end of each module there is a “Mastery Test” for self assessment.

    Step 5) There is a “Sample Test Paper” after the entire course is done.
    Step 6) Time will not be counted For "Mastery Test" and "Sample Test Paper"

    Step 7) Time will not be tracked if you use the "back" and "forward" button on your explorer browser window

    Important Note: "Course Completion Certificate" will be issued within 3 working days, upon completion of
    the course.

    Checking Your Progress Report:

    Your progress in the course can be checked on the top section of the web page.
    Usage Report: The usage report gives the following details:

    o Total Usage
    o Time Left
    o Daily Usage Report
    o Days Left

    Please Note:The days left always counts the current day of your training.One day remaining means the
    training will end on that day and not the next day.

    Unit / Lesson Wise Usage Report

    Score: The details of the score for the course or activity in case of any quiz in the assignment.
