Introduction:

2009 was the year Facebook emerges as one of the biggest social media site,

internationally or locally. As we all know Facebook was also help all the aspiring

company to grow not just locally but internationally. And as Facebook give the chance

to market your item, that’s also the time JCPenny grab the chance to make Facebook as

their marketing channel for their business, and also happens to be the first to do such

thing in a social media platform.

Problem Analysis :

1.) Is the emergence of the full-fledged marketing on social network sites by most

major retailers inevitable? Why or why not?

Answer:

Yes it is inevitable, because as we all know the social media continue to emerge every

now and then. Technology as well as gadgets and electronics are upgrading into much

better forms each day. So when that happens marketing on social media are one or two

clicks away making all possible consumers or customers aware of your product. That

will help business entities to grow fast locally and internationally.


2.) Will social media sites be viewed by the many manufacturers as their channel to

sell their products directly to the consumers?

Answer:

Yes, imagine a marketing channel that doesn’t cost a lot to put almost every product

your company has and has the power to reach every kind of people that can be your

possible consumer or customer.

3.) Do you think shopping from a firm’s online channel embedded in a social

networking site is somehow different from shopping on the firms regular

website? Why?

Answer:

Yes it is, because social media networking sites only shows what your product is and

the basic purpose of its product. While in the firms regular website shows all context

and information that is related to their products which most of the customers are

looking for.

Recommendations:

Engaging on social marketing requires manpower that can work 24/7 because of the

different timeline of every country. Having a support system for customers that will ask

for more info’s of the product will make it paved the way to success more faster. But

most of the times people still choose firms they can easily go to because of the cons of

social media sites including scam, fake informations, etc.


Solutions:

Since social media sites are widely known for interactions, and also a information

dissemination platform. Why not create a video live covering all your products showing

them what it looks like as well as accepting questions that you will answer.
