Article -1 Before starting installation
1. Before starting installation
1. 1 Change the computer settings
This section describes what you need to do before the installation starts. Please read carefully before
installation.

- Before installing this product, please close all running applications.

- If you use anti-virus software, please do the installation after terminating anti-virus software
without fail.

- If you have set the screen save, please change the settings not to start saver during installation.
If you have set up a display and hard power-saving functions as well, please change your settings
not to turn off during installation.

- Not to happen any failure of power while installing, please connect the computer to the AC power
adapter before installing.

- This book is basically created based on Windows 7 behavior. Therefore, operating and displaying
status of messages may be different from your Windows version, Edition or Service pack.

1.2 System requirements

To install Global TechStream Software, requires the following systems in your computer.

CPU Your computer must certify the operating system requirements

Operating System Windows 8.1、10

System memory 1 GByte for 32bit OS, 2 GByte for 64 bit OS

Free space of HDD/SSD 1GByte as minimum

Recommended display 1024 x 768dots or higher

resolution

Other USB version 2.0 x 1 port

Note: Use for Vehicle Interface Module to connect vehicle

CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive

2. Installation

There are two ways to Install Global TechStream Software which can be specified as by using download file or
by CD-ROM media.

2.1. Installation by Downloaded file

(1) To install Global TechStream Software, please log on to the corresponding site using an account of
administrator privileges.

(2) GlobalTechstream software can be downloaded from corresponding site.

Here is the procedure to operate the update using "Techstream_Setup_V7.10.030".

Installer file name may differ from actual ones.

Please note that the file name "V7.10.030" is the software version and it would change according to

the version of software to be installed.

Due to the windows settings, ".exe" may appear after the file name.

(3) To launch the installer,double-click the "Techstream_Setup_V7.10.030" in the folder.

If the message below appears, execution of programs is limited by the system (eg installers). Therefore,
when you double click the Techstream_Setup_V7.10.030, the screen will be blacked out and you may be
asked to allow to do changes to the computer.
When you want to operate the installation, please click "Yes" button.

Update will be operated if the old version of Global TechStream Software has been installed in your
computer. Please refer to article 3.1. in regard to update.

If you activate the same version of Setup file, you will be asked if you want to uninstall the software.
If you click "Yes", the Global TechStream Software that has already been installed in your computer

will be uninstalled.
If you click "No", installer will be finished.

(4) Window of selecting the language for the installer appears.

Select a language, and click "Next" button.

(5) Global TechStream Software installer starts.

Please click "Next" button.

(6) Window of "License Agreement" will be displayed. Please confirm the terms in Agreement.
If you agree to the terms in License Agreement, please select "I accept the terms of the license
agreement." then click "Next" button.
If you don't agree to license agreement, please click "Cancel" button to quit the update.

(7) Enter User informations and click "Next" button.

By default, the user information of the operating system will be displayed.

Unless you do not enter both "User Name" and "Company Name", "Next" button will not be appeared.
Attention

(8) Ready to install.

If you want to do the installation, please click the "install" button.

(9) When the installation completes, please click "Finish" button and exit from the installer.

2.2. Installation by CD-ROM media

(1) To install Global TechStream Software, log on to the corresponding site with an account of administrator
privileges and insert the Global TechStream Software install CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Once you insert the CD-ROM, AutoPlay shows the options for the operation. Please select "Open Folder
to view files".

If AutoPlay is not operated, please double-click the CD-ROM Drive in Computer, and open the CD-ROM.

(2) To launch the installer please double click on the "Techstream_Setup_V7.10.030" in the CD-ROM.

(7) Enter User informations and click "Next" button.

By default, the user information of the operating system will be displayed.

Unless you do not enter both "User Name" and "Company Name", "Next" button will not be appeared.

(8) Ready to install.

If you want to do the installation, please click "install" button.

(9) When the installation completes, please click "Finish" button and exit from the installer.

If Global TechStream Software has been installed, update installation will be operated.
There are two ways to update GlobalTechstream Software which can be specified as by using download
media and CD-ROM media.

3.1. Updating by downloaded file

(1) To update Global TechStream Software, please log on using an account of administrator privileges.

(2) Global TechStream software can be downloaded from corresponding site.

(1) To install Global TechStream Software, log on to the corresponding site with an account of administrator
privileges and insert the Global TechStream Software install CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Once you insert the CD-ROM, AutoPlay shows the options for the operation. Please select "Open Folder
to view files".

If AutoPlay is not operated, please double-click the CD-ROM Drive in Computer, and open the CD-ROM.

(2) To launch the installer please double click on the "Techstream_Update_V7.10.030" in the CD-ROM.

Article - 4 Settings of GlobalTechstream Software

4. Settings of Global TechStream Software

When you run Global TechStream software's for the first time, set up the dealer information.

4.1. Settings of Global TechStream Software

(1) Global TechStream Software can stsrt from icon on the desktop or Start menu bar.

(2) When Area Selection of the window of Techstream Configuration appears, select the area or market of
license(Other) you have purchased and click "Next" button.

(3) When Default Language Selection of the window of Techstream Configuration appears, select Default
Laungage and click "Next" button.

(4) Please enter the necessary information at Techstream Configuration below and click "OK" button.

Dealer Name Distributor/Dealer Name

Dealer Code Distributor/Dealer Code

Dealer Phone Contact Telephone number

Dealer Country Please select the country or region where you use Global TechStream Software. If
/Region you cannot find the country or region in the list, any country or region can be
selected.
User Type Select "Dealer"or"Distributor".

(5) Main screen of Global TechStream Software appears.

Article - 5 Select VIM

5. Select VIM

Select the VIM use in Global TechStream Software

5.1. VIM Configuration

(1) Global TechStream Software can starts from icon on the desktop or Start menu.

In advance, VIM device drivers you use must have been installed on your computer.
Attention

(2) Please confirm the VIM setting in status bar at main screen.
If the VIM setting is same as the VIM you use(OTC VIM), you don't need to change the setting.
If the different VIM is selected, please forward to the next process and select the correct VIM.

(3) Click on the "Setup" button on the main screen, and click "VIM Select" button of pull-down menu.

(4) "VIM Select" window appears. Please confirm whether "Interface setup" is in "VIM you use(OTC VIM)"
and click "OK" button.
When "Interface settings" differs from "VIM you use(OTC VIM)", change the settings of VIM to "VIM you
use(OTC VIM)" and click "OK" button.

(5) Please confirm the VIM setting in status bar at main screen.
Please confirm the VIM setting is the same as VIM you use(OTC VIM).
Article - 6 License Registration

6. License Registration

To use the Global TechStream Software, license registration is required. You can conduct it by online
regitration or get done by GTS Support Center.

6.1. How to get a License key by accessing Internet

(1) Please set up an Internet connection to the computer which is installed Global TechStream Software.

For information about your computer's Internet connection, please check with your information
equipment's administrator and Internet provider.
Attention
When you cannot connect to the Internet or fails to issue a license key through the Internet, please
refer to "6.2. How to get a License key by Support Center".

(2) Global TechStream Software can be started by clicking icon on the desktop or Start menu.

(3) Select the "Software Registration" button in the main screen.

Article - 6 License Registration

(4) "Register Techstream Software" window will be appeared.

Please click "Software Registration" button and connect to the screen of corresponding site.

(5) Please enter "Registered Address(Complete Street Address)"," VIM Serial Number", Your PC "Maker
Name", "Model Name"," OS " into the Software Registration screen of corresponding site.
"Software ID ","Version" is automatically entered with the connecting of Software registration screen.
After entering the required information, please click "Create License Key" and, the license key will be
issued.
Article - 6 License Registration

(6) Copy the issued license key and paste into the "New Key" space of "Register Techstream Software"
window .
After entering the license key, click "OK" button and GlobalTechstream Software license registration is
completed.

(7) When the license registration is completed, "Subscription expiration" will be displayed at the bottom left of
the window of Global TechStream Software.
Article - 6 License Registration

6.2. How to get a License key by Support Center

(1) Global TechStream software starts from the icon on the desktop or start menu.

(2) Please click on the "Software Registration" button in the main screen .

(3) "Register Techstream Software" window will be appeared.

Please take a note of "Software ID ","Software Version".

(4) Requests the issuance of the license key to Support Center.

Please send an E-mail or FAX with ,"Software ID ","Software Version", "Address to use the software","
VIM Serial Number"," PC information (Maker Name, Model Name, Model Number, OS) " to request for a
license key.
In case the information in the request should be confirmed, please write the contact information such as
"name of the person control" and "telephone number"in the request.

When you send a fax, please determine the character and fill out carefully as large as possible.
Attention

When you send infirmation if there are any mistake in your information an invalid license key will be
issued, or the license may not be issued. Before sending an e-mail or FAX, please check the details

again.
Article - 6 License Registration

(5) Support Center accepts requests of license key issue.

After acceptance, review your request and issue the license key.

When you want to confirm anything about your request, you may contact Support Center for
confirmation.
Attention

(6) License key issue will be sent by FAX or e-mail by Support Center.

(7) You will receive the license key sent by the Support Center.
Please enter issued License key into the, "Register Techstream Software" window "New Key" field.
After entering the license key, click "OK" button and then GlobalTechstream Software license registration
is completed.

(8) When the license registration is completed, "Subscription Expiration "will be displayed at the bottom left of
the Global TechStream Software window.
