The Vivo X50 Pro is a part of the Vivo X series which serves the higher end of the market. The Vivo X50 Pro is the first smartphone in India to
sport a Gimbal camera system. This system helps stabilise video and helps click better photos by stabilising the primary camera. The Vivo X50
Pro sports a quad-camera system with the primary camera being a 48-megapixel sensor with a gimbal to stabilise it.
While the camera is the highlight of the Vivo X50 Pro, it is well equipped. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC that is 5G
enabled. The Vivo X50 Pro has a 6.56-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a hole-punch at the top left corner. The panel also have a higher
90Hz refresh rate. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It houses a 4,315mAh battery that is capable of delivering all-day battery life.
The quad-camera setup on the Vivo X50 Pro consists of a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel portrait camera, an 8-megapixel
wide-angle camera and a 13-megapixel telephoto camera. The Vivo X50 Pro managed good photos in daylight and the telephoto camera does
offer 60x zoom. Lowlight photos were even better as the phone could stabilise for shakes while shooting with night mode. Videos from the
Vivo X50 Pro were also well stabilised at all resolutions.

6 Realme X3 SuperZoom
The Realme X3 SuperZoom features a periscope-style telephoto camera, which is the first we've seen in this price segment. The 8-megapixel
telephoto camera features 5x optical zoom and a maximum of 60x hybrid zoom. Camera performance is very good during the day, but not so
much at night. To help with the latter, there's Night mode, which is quite effective. The main 64-megapixel camera captures good photos in
daylight, but struggles a bit in low light. The X3 SuperZoom can record video at 4K and the quality is good in the day, but could be better when
shooting at night.
The X3 SuperZoom uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, which offers plenty of processing power for apps and games. The phone also
featrues a 120Hz refresh rate LCD panel, so scrolling through menus feels fluid. Battery life is also solid. The X3 SuperZoom is also very well
built and looks stylish. It's mising stereo speakers but the single bottom-firing speaker gets pretty loud. The phone runs Realme UI, based on
Android 10.

to the curved-edge front and back glass sandwiching the metal frame. The buttons are easy to reach, and the alert slider is handy as always.
The OnePlus 8 has a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with sloping sides, a wide colour gamut, and a hole-punch cutout in the upper left corner. The
90Hz refresh rate makes usage in general feel fluid and snappy. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is super quick at
authentication. All it takes is a quick, firm tap to unlock it.
We reviewed the top-end variant of the OnePlus 8, which has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at Rs. 49,999. Gaming performance
is top-notch. Fortnite can run at 90fps and the experience is good. Games and movies are especially enjoyable thanks to the very good stereo
speakers on the OnePlus 8. OxygenOS is also well equipped with lots of shortcuts and gestures waiting to be discovered. The new
launcher now offers a more seamless multitasking experience, there's 5GB of free cloud storage for backups once you sign in with a OnePlus
account, a built-in screen recorder, and dynamic wallpapers.
The OnePlus 8 has the same 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with optical stabilisation as the 7T. In daylight, it captures detailed images
with vivid colours and balanced HDR. The wide-angle camera is also useful. The third macro camera doesn't have good clarity but it can be
useful in some instances. The selfie camera was decent under good light but didn't do well in low light.

The OnePlus 8 Pro has a similar design as the OnePlus 8 but with some subtle changes. Its display is actually rounded on the sides, rather
than just having curved glass like on the 8. It has a pretty big 6.78-inch QHD+ (1440x3168-pixel) AMOLED panel, with a claimed high colour
accuracy and HDR10+ support. New this year is the 120Hz refresh rate. The display is vibrant, colourful, and bright.
The software experience is very similar to that of the OnPlus 8, with the exception of controls for some additions such as reverse wireless
charging and video playback enhancement. The interface feels snappy, and OxygenOS in general runs very well.
App and gaming performance is pretty solid. The stereo speakers sound great and the Dolby Atmos setting helps improve quality and spatial
separation.
The rear cameras get a big upgrade. The main 48-megapixel camera captures very good details nd colours under most lighting conditions. The
wide-angle camera also shoots grat pictures and can even do extreme close-up photography. The telephoto camera is good too, and nearly on
par with the Samsung Galaxy S20+ in terms of quality.
Battery life is excellent but the big addtion here, is wireless charging. The 8 Pro also supports reverse wireless charging.

The Realme X50 Pro is 5G ready and features the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. In terms of performance, this device is
excellent for gaming as well as general productivity. Realme has also used high-speed RAM and storage, plus a 90Hz display, for a snappy
overall experience. This is a mid-range flagship phone that truly can take on many of the much more expensive models in the market.
The X50 Pro 5G is available in two muted colour options and looks quite premium with its glass and metal body. However, the back is slippery
and this phone is somewhat bulky and heavy. What you'll notice first is the dual-camera cutout in the upper left corner of the screen.
The display is sharp and the speakers are surprisingly powerful. You get four rear cameras including a 2X optical zoom camera. We found
photos to generally be very good, even ones shot with the lower-resolution wide-angle and zoom cameras. However, photos taken at night
weren't always great, and 4K video looked artificial.

by launching the Mi 10 5G in India at a starting price of Rs. 49,999. The curved glass on the front and back of
this phone looks classy. This, coupled with the high-gloss finish makes it striking to look at. The Mi 10 5G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen and
is sharp enough, but the resolution is full-HD+ (2340x1080). The display also runs at 90Hz, which is a big trend right now.
Xiaomi says that the Mi 10 has a P2i coating to repel water, but there isn't any IP rating. Other than this, it has almost everything you can
think of, starting with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 storage, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6, fast
wireless charging, and 5G.
It runs on MIUI 11 and Xiaomi has replaced some of its own apps like the dialler and messages with Google's apps. However, spam
notifications are still an issue, although it's not as severe as its budget offerings.
The Snapdragon 865 is a powerful chip but it also makes the phone quite hot when using the camera or even gaming. The stereo spakers
sound balanced but don't get very loud. The in-display fingerprint sensor on the other hand is not very quick, and it took a good second before
it recognised our finger and unlocked the phone.
Xiaomi is making a big deal about its 108-megapixel primary camera, which performs well in daylight and at night. The other cameras are a
wide-angle and macro, which work decently well in the day but aren't very good in low light. The 20-megapixel selfie camera is also decent
but not great at night.
Battery life is very good on the Mi 10 5G, as it typically lasts for an entire day. Fast charging helps and there's even reverse wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S20+ is the middle child in the trio and is the successor to the Galaxy S10+. It features a 6.7-inch QHD+ display, with
excellent brightness and colours reproduction. The curved sides and glass back gives it a very premiium look and feel. It also supports wireless
charging and is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.
The Indian version of the Galaxy S20+ is powered by the Exynos 990 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There's no
5G support for the models sold in India. It also has a 12-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 64-megapixel
telephoto camera and a depth sensor. There's a 4,500mAh battery, with support for fast charging.
Performance is great as apps and games run smoothly. The display also has a 90Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling through lists feel fluid.
Audio quality is also very good from the stereo speakers in the phone. It's a little big to manage comfortably with one hand, but it does feel
very premium. The S20+ runs on OneUI 2, which is based on Android 10.
Camera performance is also very good. It boasts of a 'Space Zoom' which is an AI-enhanced digital zoom. Image quality is great and is one of
the best zoom systems in a phone, that we've come across.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is the flagship smartphone of Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series. As the name suggests, the device is huge with the display
measuring 6.9-inches. This makes the phone uncomfortable for single-handed use. The QHD+ panel on the Galaxy S20 Ultra has excellent
viewing angles and the output is vivid. The panel also gets bright enough when outdoors. The device feels extremely well built.
The phone is powered by an Exynos 990 SoC and has 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage onboard. The Galaxy S20 Ultra launched in India
supports 4G networks only. It packs in a 5,000mAh battery and has support for 45W fast charging. Samsung ships a 25W charger in the box
which is quick to charge the device. The Galaxy S20 Ultra offers good battery life and lasted us for about a day and a half easily. Performance
is good as well but the device does get warm under load.
The phone has a quad-camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel telephoto camera, 12-megapixel ultrawide-
angle-camera and a depth vision camera. Samsung also offers 100x zoom on the device which is the highlight of the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The
camera performance is excellent as the device manages to take good shots irrespective of the lighting conditions. The phone delivers good
battery life.

Realme has finally moved beyond the polycarbonate bodies we've seen so far on its phones, for an aluminium body with Gorilla Glass 5 on the
front and back of the X2. The device can be a little slippery and the glass back attracts smudges easily. The earpiece also doubles as a second

bottom chin) and a relatively shallow notch. The Realme X2 Pro is a bit on the thicker side at 8.7mm but the curved back tries to compensate
for this. It's also quite heavy at nearly 200g but the weight is distributed well.
The X2 is avilable in multiple RAM and storage variants in India, all of which have the Snapdragon 855+ SoC onboard. The phone can
accommodate two Nano-SIMs, and dual 4G VoLTE is supported. It ships with ColorOS 6.1, based on Android 9.
When it comes to performance, the phone ran cool in general but the sides and back got quite warm when gaming and even with heavy
camera usage. In videos with Dolby Atmos-encoded audio, the surround effect is somewhat perceptible. The X2 Pro has a 4000mAh battery,
which was dependable. On average, we easily got about a day and a half of runtime on a single charge.
The Realme X2 Pro has a good mix of sensors at the back, which include a 64-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, 13-
megapixel telephoto and a depth sensor. In general, image quality is really good during the day and we were happy with low light pictures too.

15 OnePlus 7T Pro
The 7T Pro is the replacement for the OnePlus 7 Pro. The frosted, matte texture of the OnePlus 7T Pro's glass rear feels great in the hand and
doesn't easily attract fingerprints, but is quite slippery. Other design elements have stayed the same. You get 3D Corning Gorilla Glass on the
back and front; a pop-up selfie camera; an in-display fingerprint sensor; stereo speakers; and all the same ports and buttons in the same
place.
The display is the same 6.67-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. We found the display to be excellent in most usage
conditions. Colours are vibrant and well saturated, the brightness is very good even under sunlight, and viewing angles are great.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC replaces the Snapdragon 855 which powered the OnePlus 7 Pro. There's also 8GB of RAM and 256GB
of storage. OxygenOS works very well and is a joy to use.
Overall performance is great. The selfie camera module is quick to pop up to authenticate you and the fingerprint sensor, like last time, is also
extremely quick. Media files look and sound great on the OnePlus 7T Pro, thanks to the HDR display and good stereo speakers. The battery
capacity of the OnePlus 7T Pro has increased by a tiny bit to 4,085mAh, and with a full day of heavy usage at the 90Hz refresh rate, we still
had about 20 percent left in the battery at night.
The OnePlus 7T Pro features the same camera setup as the OnePlus 7 Pro, so to sum up , the performance is good but not as great as say
from the likes of the Galaxy S10+. It still struggles in low light and 4K video quality is average.

64GB of storage. The Moto E7 Plus has a dual-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It delivers
good camera performance in daylight but the performance is average in lowlight. The dedicated light mode does a much better job in low light.
The Moto E7 Plus packs in a 5,000mAh battery and has a Micro-USB port. It does not have support for fast-charging and gets a 10W charger
in the box, which is slow to charge the phone completely. Motorola ships the phone with Andorid 10 with its custom My UX UI on top. The UI is
very minimalistic and has only useful features loaded on top. There are no preloaded apps which makes the user experience better.

The Realme 7 brings in three main upgrades over the Realme 6 — a new SoC, a bigger battery, and a new primary camera sensor. It features a
mirror-split design, which creates some interesting patterns when light hits it. The Realme 7 is actually thicker (9.4mm) and heavier (196.5g)
than the 6, due to its larger battery, and this is very noticeable in daily usage.
The Realme 7 is the first phone to debut with the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. This is an updated version of the Helio G90T, which was seen in the
Realme 6, but it's not a major upgrade. Performance is pretty satisfactory. The Realme 7 uses Realme UI, based on Android 10, which worked
smoothly. Face recognition and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor are also quick. The Realme 7 is good with games too. Battle Prime looked
great at the highest graphics settings and gameplay was smooth.
The Realme 7 gets a chunky, 5,000mAh battery and you can charge the battery fairly quickly too, thanks to the 30W Dart Charge fast
charging.
The new primary rear camera in the Realme 7 offers a noticeable improvement in pixel-binned images, comapred to the Realme 6. It exhibits
improved dynamic range and exposure, with better details too. Low light photos look cleaner too, with less grain. Shots captured using Night
mode look more pleasing, compared to what the Realme 6 can produce. The Realme 7 can shoot videos at up to 4K, but without stabilisation.
Colours are a bit on the warmer side.

The Realme 7 Pro is the spiritual successor to the Realme 6 Pro, boasting of big upgrades such as an AMOLED display, stereo speakers, and
65W fast charging. The Realme 7 Pro features the same mirror-split design on its back as the Realme 7, but it's a lot slimmer (8.7mm) and
lighter (182g), even compared to the Realme 6 Pro. Sadly, this phone ditches one big feature from the Realme 6 Pro, and that's a high screen
refresh rate.
The Realme 7 Pro performed well as it features the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC as the 6 Pro. Realme UI ran pretty smoothly
without missig a beat. The Super AMOLED display was great for watching videos on, and this experience was enhanced by the stereo
speakers. There's a 4,500mAh battery in the Realme 7 Pro, which on average easily lasted for more than one day starting on a full charge.
The rear cameras on the Realme 7 Pro include a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 2-
megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Regular photos taken in daylight generally looked good. HDR was handled well,
details were good, and colours looked natural. Low-light photos were decent, without much visible grain, and details were fairly good even in
darker regions.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is the first smartphone from the company to pack in a massive 7,000mAh battery. The Galaxy M51 also gets a

and narrow. The Galaxy M51 has a hole-punch camera at the center towards the top of the display. A few users could find this distracting
while watching content.
Powering the Galaxy M51 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC which is a first for a Galaxy M series smartphone. It is capable of loading
apps quickly as well as multitasking without any issues. Samsung has launched two variants, one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and
the other with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The Galaxy M51 has two Nano-SIM slots and a dedicated slot for microSD. The Galaxy M51
offered good performance without any lag or stutter when we used it.
Samsung has gone with a quad-camera setup on the Galaxy M51 consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-
angle camera, a macro camera and a depth sensor. The camera clicked good photos in daylight with abundant details. Photos clicked using the
wide-angle camera has distortion at the edges. Video recording tops out at 4K for the primary as well as the selfie camera but video
stabilisation isn't great.
Battery performance was excellent and we could go beyond two days without needing the smartphone to be charged. The supplied charger is
also quick to charge the device.

The Moto G9 is a budget offering from Motorola with some powerful hardware. It sports a 6.5-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a tall
20:9 aspect ratio. The phone has flat sides which make it comfortable to hold and its rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is easy to reach.
Motorola has packed in a 5,000mAh battery which has caused it to tip the scales at 200g.
It runs clean stock Android 10 with Motorola's My UX on top. There are very few useful customisations on top. You also get a dedicated
Google Assistant button on the G9. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC and is available in one variant only with
4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The Moto G9 gets a triple camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera,
and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It clicks decent photos in favourable light with good details. It is missing a wide-angle camera that most of
its competition sport. The macro camera is good but it is of a lower resolution. Lowlight camera performance was average but the Night Mode
is very effective.

The premium design of the Reno 4 Pro helps it stand out from the competition and is easily one of its best attributes. It's also incredibly slim
(7.7mm) and light (161g), which is a refreshing change of pace. The Oppo Reno 4 Pro has a large 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display
with Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch protection. It runs on Oppo's ColorOS 7.2, which is based on Android 10. It also has some new smarts
added,such as ‘Icon pull-down gesture' and ‘Quick return bubble' for games.
In India, Oppo has launched a single variant of the Reno 4 Pro, which has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The
Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G might be a speedy and efficient chip for a low-cost phone, but in the Reno 4 Pro, it's definitely outclassed by its
peers. Still, with day-to-day use, I didn't notice any issues with performance.
The Oppo Reno 4 Pro sold here has four rear cameras: a 48-megapixel primary, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel
depth cameras. In terms of image quality, the primary Sony IMX586 sensor delivers predictable results during the day. Details are generally
good, HDR works well, and colours are nicely saturated. The Oppo Reno 4 Pro can shoot videos at up to 4K 30fps, with stabilisation, but only
using the primary rear camera.

The Samsung Galaxy M31s is the successor of the Galaxy M31 and brings new features to the segment. The Galaxy M31s sports a 6.5-inch

around Samsung has paired a 25w charger in the box.
Samsung has also gone with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy M31s. The phone has a "Glasstic" back which looks like glass
but is actually made out of plastic. It is a fingerprint magnet and picks up fingerprints very easily. The phone runs OneUI 2.1 on top of Android
10. The Galaxy M31s comes with a fair amount of bloatware preinstalled on the device.
Samsung has opted for the Exynos 9611 SoC to power the Galaxy M31s. This is a dated processor at this point and you do see some
sluggishness while loading heavy apps and games. Battery life on the Galaxy M31s is impressive as the phone lasted us over 2 days with our
usage. The Galaxy M31s has a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera. We found the camera
performance to be good in daylight. It also has a Single Take feature which offers different outputs after recording a video. Lowlight camera
performance was average but the found video stabilisation to be poor.

Powering the Realme 6i is a MediaTek Helio G90T SoC which is paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The storage between both variants
remains the same at 64GB. The Realme 6i has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-
wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The phone runs Realme UI on top of Android 10. There is some amount of bloatware that comes preinstalled on the device and we did
encounter some spammy notifications. The camera performance from the Realme 6i was good in daylight using the primary camera. Its wide-
angle camera offered decent details. Lowlight camera performance wasn't as good as we saw a noticeable dip in performance.
The Realme 6i packs in a 4,300mAh battery which offers all-day battery life. It is also bundled with a 20W charger for quick charging.

The Poco M2 Pro has an attractive design and is built well, but it also looks very similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It features a P2i water-
repellent coating, which is said to make it splash-proof. Poco has used a 6.67-inch full-HD+ LCD display, with a cutout for the selfie camera.
You also get Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, back, and the rear camera module. One feature that's missing is a high refresh rate.
The Poco M2 Pro runs on MIUI 11, which is based on Android 10, and my unit had the June security patch. Apart from having the Poco
Launcher as a default, the features and functionality are very similar to what you get on Redmi devices.
MIUI and app performance were superb thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC. Navigating through MIUI's interface felt snappy,
multitasking worked well, and apps in general were quick to load. Gaming performance was very good too. The 5,000mAh capacity easily
lasted for an entire day, even with lots of gaming and camera usage.
The Poco M2 Pro has four rear cameras, which include a primary 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens, a 5-
megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. You get a 16-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera. Overall, the cameras of the
Poco M2 Pro performed decently under good light, but struggled to deliver satisfactory results in low light.

The Motorola One Fusion+ is a budget offering from the company. This smartphone is among the very few devices to sport a pop-up selfie
camera. As a result, it has an all-screen front without any notch or hole-punch in its way. The 6.5-inch display on the Motorola One Fusion+ is
an IPS panel and is HDR 10 certified. Motorola has also added a loud bottom-firing speaker which makes this smartphone a good package for
viewing content.
Powering the Motorola One Fusion+ is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor which is capable of handling day to day tasks as well as
gaming with ease. It could manage heavy games at high settings without any issues. The One Fusion+ also packs in a big 5,000mAh battery
which delivered excellent battery life. Charging isn't the fastest using the supplied 18W charger but the phone took around 2 hours to charge
completely.
Motorola ships the One Fusion+ with stock Android which isn't very common. It is very easy to get used to this device. There are no pre-
installed apps or bloatware on this device. Motorola One Fusion+ has a quad-camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera. It manages
good photos in daylight and enables HDR automatically in bright scenes. The macro camera also delivers a good output. In lowlight, the
camera performance is average but it is improved drastically with night mode enabled.

Just like the Vivo X50 Pro, the Vivo X50 looks striking from any angle and is easily one the best looking phones I've seen from the company of
late. It has a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. Overall, the Vivo X50 is a very
well-built smartphone with a premium in-hand feel.
The Vivo X50 runs the same software as the X50 Pro, Funtouch OS 10.5, based on Android 10. There's a lot that's packed into this custom
Android skin, starting with plenty of redundant apps such as Vivo's own app store, browser, and email client — none of which can be
uninstalled.
The Vivo X50 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC and performance has been nothing but great. Unlocking the phone is quick and
seamless, the interface is always snappy thanks to the high-refresh-rate screen, and multitasking isn't a problem. I found the battery life of
the Vivo X50 to be more than satisfactory. Even with light gaming and camera use, I was easily getting at least a day and a half, and
sometimes even up to two full days on one charge.
The main rear camera was pretty impressive overall. In daylight, landscape shots packed in plenty of detail, colours were vibrant, and
exposure was balanced.In low light, the main camera automatically decreases shutter speed for better exposure. There's a bit of grain, and
brightly lit areas can look overexposed, but switching to Night mode fixes both these issues.

The Realme Narzo 10a is largely a cosmetic update to the Realme C3, which isn't a bad thing at all, as that model has performed very well in
our tests. The Narzo 10a adds a fingerprint sensor, which takes care of one of our biggest complaints with the C3, as well as a macro camera
on the rear, which is fun to use but not very practical. Performance is excellent thanks to the MediaTek Helio G70 processor, and you can get a
decent enough gaming experience even with today's heavy games. The cameras are just about average, but quality dips a lot in low light.
Battery life is excellent and we could get two full days of casual usage out of a single charge. This phone is available in So White and So Blue,
with a gigantic Realme logo emblazoned across the back. Only one configuration is available, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The Realme Narzo 10 is a low-cost phone that claims to offer a great experience for young gamers thanks to the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. It
has an interesting look with subtle stripes down the back that appear to shift as you turn the phone under the light. It feels well built but is a
little heavy thanks to the 5000mAh battery. The 6.5-inch display is quite good and the HD resolution won't stress the processor too much, but
some might prefer a crisper full-HD panel at this price. There are no variants, so you can only get this phone with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of
storage in India. Gaming performance is quite good, though we did feel the upper rear get a bit warm while playing heavy games. Battery life
is excellent and you can get well over a day of usage out of each charge. The cameras are largely average, with the primary one doing well in
the daytime but the wide-angle and macro cameras feeling a little sub-par. Low light photography isn't great, and video is also limited in
quality.

when outdoors. Vivo also offers an in-display fingerprint scanner on the Vivo V19 which is quick to unlock the device. Powering the
smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC which is weak. There is 8GB of RAM which helps the smartphone handle day-to-day tasks
well.
It has a quad-camera setup at the back and a dual-camera setup for selfies. We found the camera performance to be good and the software
easy to use. Daylight camera performance is good and the phone manages good edge detection in portrait shots. Low-light camera
performance is acceptable but shooting in night mode is a tad slow.

smartphone can handle games well but it can get warm if you game for longer durations.
It offers very good battery life and we could go beyond a day and a half before needing to charge the device again. It has support for 33W fast
charging which is very helpful and is capable of topping the device up in about an hour. However, fast charging does cause the phone to get
hot.
The quad-camera setup on the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is better than the Redmi Note 9 Pro in terms of resolution. The phone manages good
shots during the day but it does sharpen the output. In low-light, it manages to keep noise in check but the night mode does a far better job.
Video is stabilised electronically and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max does a very good job in daylight, low-light stabilisation causes a shimmer
effect.

The Poco X2 offers good value for money, with specifications and capabilities that few other companies can match in the sub-Rs. 20,000
market. The design, with its attention-grabbing circular patch on the rear and bright gradient finishes, might be a bit polarising but Poco has
used Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back for durability. You get a large 6.67-inch screen with dual front cameras embedded in a cutout in the
top-right corner. The display is bright, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate as well as HDR-10, but we didn't find it to be too vibrant.
Performance is very good thanks to the Snapdragon 730G processor, and you can get up to 8GB of RAM with up to 256GB of storage for less
than Rs. 20,000. This phone also boasts of a 64-megapixel primary rear camera and it took very good stills in the daytime. The night mode
also helped low-light photos look good. The wide-angle and macro cameras are less useful but still nice to have. Daytime videos looked good,
but quality suffered a lot at night, especially when recording at 4K. Battery life was also quite good, but not spectacular.

Colours and punchy and brightness level is good. The back of the phone has a polycarbonate layer which resembles glass. Button placement
feels ergonomic, and on the left, we have a hybrid dual-SIM tray that can either take two Nano-SIM cards or a single SIM and a microSD card.
The Gaalxy S10 Lite is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is last year's flagship chip. Performance is very good and the phone doesn't
get overly hot when gaming. It features One UI 2.0, which is based on Android 10, however it lacks the India-specific features which we saw in
the Galaxy A51.
The phone has a 4,500mAh battery capacity, which offers enough power to get you through an entire day on one charge. The bundled charger
supports 25W fast charging.
In the back, the main 48-megapixel camera captures good stills, thanks to OIS for better stabilisation. The wide-angle camera also does a
good job under good light. The 5-megapixel macro camera also captures very good extreme close-ups. 4K video recording is supported but
only up to 30fps. Low light image quality is very good too.

useful to jot down notes on the device. It has a triple camera setup at the back and does a good job in different lighting conditions. Video
recording is good during the day but needs some improvements for low light.

It's available in three variants, with the first starting at Rs. 16,999. We tested the top-end varaint, which had 8GB of RAM and 128GB of
storage at Rs. 20,000. ColorOS offers lots of customisation and runs smoothly. Gaming performance is especially good and we didn't notice
any overheating issues either. The bottom speaker gets loud thanks to Dolby Atmos enhancements.
The front camera is a 32-megapixel sensor and captures good quality selfies under good light. The rear quad cameras are exactly the same as
the Realme XT. The main 64-megapixel sensor shoots sharp images in daylight and Nightscape works well for low-light shots. The widde-
angle camera is competent too, given enough light. There's also two, 2-megapixel cameras for depth and macro shots.
Battery life is decent as the 4,000mAh battery easily lasts for more than a day. However, it does have very fast charging thanks to the VOOC
Flash Charge 4.0 standard, which can fully charge the battery in little over an hour.

Vivo V17 is a good looking smartphone finished in a fancy paint job, At the front, it has a hole-punch selfie camera which makes it look
modern. It has a 6.44-inch display with thin bezels on the sides. It also packs in a 4,500mAh battery but it isn’t very bulky at 176g. It sports a
quad-camera setup at the back with a 48-megapixel primary shooter.
Powering the Vivo V17 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC which is relatively dated. It is paired with 8GB of RAM which makes
multitasking easy. There is 128GB of storage which is plenty for an average user. The Vivo V17 runs Funtouch OS 9.2 on top of Android 9.
There is a fair amount of bloatware on the device and we found that a few preinstalled apps pushed spammy notifications.
Battery life is good and the smartphone could last over a day easily. Camera performance of the Vivo V17 was very good in daylight but low-
light photos had some noise. Night mode helps deliver a better shot. Low-light video recording is below average and could do with a few
tweaks.

48 Vivo U20
The Vivo U20 is from the online exclusive U series from Vivo. The Vivo U20 sports a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a dewdrop notch at the
top. It has a full-HD+ resolution and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent. The phone is a tad bulky at 193g which is mainly down to the
5,000mAh battery that it packs.
Powering the Vivo U20 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC and it is offered with 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants. Storage for both these
variants remains the same at 64GB which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone is available in Racing
Black and Blaze Blue colour variants. In the box, the smartphone comes with an 18W fast charger which helps top the device quickly.
Vivo ships the U20 with Funtouch OS 9.2 running on top of Android 9. It does get a fair amount of bloatware preinstalled on the smartphone.
The Vivo U20 has a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 16-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel super-wide-angle camera,
and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. It clicks decent photos in daylight but low-light camera
isn’t great.
