MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEM
Stacking Tripper conveyor
Conveyors are any of various devices that provide mechanized
movement of material, as in a factory; they are used
principally in industrial applications.

BUT,
We think the conveyor system is not only the mean of
transportation of bulk material to the destination but it’s the
main stream of networking of resources within client’s plant
for the promised performance.

SYSTEM ENGINEERING
GENERAL SCOPE OF SUPPLY
- Ship / Barge Unloader
- Wagon / Truck Unloading Station
- Belt Conveying System
- Storage Management System (Stacker / Reclaimer)
- Dust Control System (Dust Collection / Suppression)
- Process Machines (Crusher / Screen)
- Control System (PLC, Instrumentation)
- Electrical System

DYPNF – MCS DIVISION 9

PERFORMANCE IS GUARANTEED

For Better performance and Centering the bulk on the belt Dust comes from Air
operation rate, Fugitive is Critical because it impacts
material shall be controlled the performance of the 3 Sources of Air movement;
conveyor. 1. Displaced Air (Material Vol.)
1. Adhering on Belt (Carry Back) 2. Induced Air (Mat’l Stream)
Material build-up will cause the 3. Generated Air (By Equip.)
belt to mistrack and lead extra
maintenance and clean-up cost
Air
+ Dust

Therefore, we developed a
solution of 3D DEM analysis to
minimize the problem from
loading area.
2. Transfer Point Spillage
Minimize Belt Sag Tight is Right ;
Skirt Edge Seals / Protectors Seal the entry and exit area

Dust control equipment

- Dust Collection System
- Dust Suppression system
Degradation, dust & ware
Problem can be eliminated.

TYPES OF BIOMASS MATERIAL
“CLASS 1”: Rounded particles, free‐flowing:

•Pellets and dry Chips + powders (not too fine)

“CLASS 2”: Rounded particles, cohesive:

•Milled nuts, wet powders; fine powders

“CLASS 3”: Flaky/stringy particles – extreme shape:

•At least one dimension much smaller than other two

•Chopped straw and grass;
•Sawdust, wood shavings, chicken litter
•Shredded paper or plastic;
•Many wastes from sheet material
•Herbaceous materials

Class 1 Class 2 Class 3

Pellets and fines Sticky, cohesive Long, stringy particles
Rounded Particles roughly rounded Special behaviour
Like any other free flowing bulk solid Like any other cohesive bulk solid

MATERIAL INTAKING SYSTEM

System Description

•Normally, the Biomass Fuel is imported and

shipped by vessel
•Transportation of Fuel is normally done by
Truck
•For bigger size power plant may require ship
unloader to import the fuel directly

Problems

•High dust emission rate in the unloading

station
•Uneven size / Flow Properties of the Fuel to
design proper unloading system

Countermeasures

•Higher Volume of Dust Removal System

•Forced Discharge / Unloading System
(Push Floor, Screw Discharge and etc)

DYPNF – MCS DIVISION 14

MATERIAL STORAGE DESIGN

DYPNF – MCS DIVISION 15

RECLAIMING BY STORAGE TYPE

Storage Yard / Shed Storage Silo

• Stacker / Reclaimer system is required for • Normally applicable to flat bottom silos
Operation • Screw type reclaimer is recommended due to
• Dust control issue in the Shed or yard the flowability of fuel
• Large storage capacity and higher capital • Less Footprint for the same storage volume
cost and less capital cost

DYPNF – MCS DIVISION 16

CONVEYORS

Chain conveyor can be totally enclosed that essentially prevents the

emission of fine dust.

Chain conveyor can be designed for steep angle up to 60° to minimize

the plant foot print.

Multiple discharges is applicable with the use of slide gate, which is

simpler than a discharge plow from belt conveyor.
