Job Responsibilities As H&s Professional Includes


 Managing teams comprising HSE officers, Asstt. HSE officers, and safety helpers;
 Ensures compliance with HSE Policies, Site HSE plans and standards , ensuring compliance and
updating in line with changes in Legislation, company guidelines, & clients requirements;
 Organizing HSE Trainings on various topics, following training need assessment, training
designing and development and further evaluate the trainees and/or take feedback from
them; Conducting Defensive Driving training for drivers, safe use of hand tools and power
tools;
 Designing and developing site HSE induction training program according to need of the
site considering the main hazards and emergencies on the site including communicating
HSE policies to the trainees;
 Ensuring daily start safety meeting of workers and supervisors are being conducted,
conducting toolbox talks at least once a week;
 Carry out inspection of safety aspects of vehicles and equipment Lifting equipment, vehicles,
machines, Power tools and hand tools as per company guidelines and check third party inspection
certificates etc;
 Observation for unsafe act and unsafe condition on site and intervention to close out the issues;
Submit daily safety observation report and ensure correction of unsafe conditions;
 Hazard Identification through workplace inspection/observation, conducting last minute risk
assessment before starting jobs, taking workers inputs so that workforce working is aware
about the Hazards associated with that job and know what the Control Measures are;
 Final inspection of scaffolding before initial occupation of use and daily inspection and
documentation of the condition of the scaffolding before starting the work, or after alteration have
been made;
 Inspection of work at height equipment including ladder, step ladder, mobile scaffolds;
 Providing instruction on Heavy lifting procedure, preventions and hazards while lifting activities;
 Active participation in HSE tours of site management and help in maintain General House
Keeping;
 Organizing site HSE committee meetings with active representation of all the sections of
the project, preparing agenda, conducting and making minutes of meeting;
 Participating in HSE Committee meeting at HO;
 Encouraging workforce/foremen for reporting of all accidents and near misses and
preparing accident reports, by basic investigation- gathering information, determining root
cause and immediate cause and proposing recommendation to avoid similar recurrence;
 Prepare for foreseeable emergencies like fire, medical by ensuring periodic drills of fire &
medical evacuation;
 Conduct Weekly Safety inspection of All site, Fire Audit of the Worksite, Office, Workshop & Camp.
 Manage individual issues and trends by leading specific campaigns to improve HSE
performance;
 Preparing weekly and monthly HSE report and reporting of all the HSE statistics, inspection,
accident etc., related to site management as well as to HSE manager at Head Office.
