    Sub: Addendum No.0l to DGS Order 27 of 2020 dated 01.10.2020.

    L Whereas the Directorate has issued elaborate instructions and SOP for updation of
    photograph and signature of the candidates for facial recognition by E-Learning, CAS and Exit
    Examination.

    2. Whereas the Directorate has issued DGS Order 21 of 2020 dated 01.10.2020 putting
    responsibility on MTI to upload correct data of candidates at the time of uploading of batch detail
    on e-governance system. Further an additional facility has been provided to candidates
    to verify his/her photograph with the photograph in seafarer profile using URL.

    3. The Directorate has recently assessed the load of face recognition application on
    the server and procured new seryer for facial recognition software and the data has been
    recently migrated to this new server. Due to this, the earlier URL mentioned at para
    4.1 of the DGS Order 27 of 2020 has been replaced by a new URL: https:11220.156.188.2291

    4. Further, instructions for using the Face Web API for authentication is enclosed as

    Annexure-I.

    ANNEXURE - I

    Part1 : Instruction for Verification of Face against INDOS profile photo

    Step 1:

    ● If you are a first time user of the online E-Learning or EXIT exam service, you will receive
    an error “The User is Not Registered”. In that case follow the below instructions:

    Step 2:

    ● Go to the portal “https://220.156.188.229/”

    Step 3:

    ● Enter Username as INDOS number and Password.

    Step 4: Click on “Verify Profile Photo”

    Step 5:

    ● Click on “Start Webcam” to Start Web Camera.

    ● Click on “Capture Image”.


    ● Please capture the image in proper lighting condition.

    Step 7:

    ● Click on “Verify”.
    ● If It shows Successful then candidates can upload three (3) additional photos, if they
    have not done so before.

    ● Click on “Profile Photo”.

    Step 2:

    ● Capture 3 different photos using web camera and upload
