IV. APPLICATION

Submit a whole page essay on the title “Passage of the Rizal Law and the effects on the Filipino”

PASSAGE OF RIZAL LAW AND THE EFFECTS OF FILIPINO

The full name of the law is an act to include in the curricula of all public and private schools,

colleges and universities courses on the life, works and writings of Jose Rizal, Particularly his novels

Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, Authorizing the printing and distribution thereof, and for

other purposes. The Rizal law, in any case, was emphatically restricted by the Christian church much

appreciated to the anti-clerical subjects that were pertinent in Rizal’s books Noli Me Tangere and El

Filibusterismo.

As a Filipino student, I think that this law will teach us the importance of knowing the various

social, political, and cultural changes that occurred in the nineteenth century, and to understand Dr.

Jose Rizal in his context of times. It will also appraise the link between us individual and the society.

Furthermore, it assess the concepts of bayani and kabayanihan in the context of Philippine society.
