    Introduction: This document describes procedures to prepare the cleaning agents


    and its applications.

    Objective: To ensure proper concentration of cleaning agents are used.

    Responsibility: Production, QC/QA

    Procedure Description:
    All cleaning solutions must be on the List of Approved Cleaning Agents required by
    CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency)

    For a current list of approved cleaning agents please refer to the CFIA’s
    (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) Reference Listing of Accepted Construction
    Materials, Packaging Materials and Non-Food Chemical Products web site:

    A. Preparation of cleansers
    1. For surfaces that have direct food contact.
    Equipment ( Hapman, Perfill Hopper, Blender, Dump station)
    Utensils – Scoops, Powder buckets, Screens
    a. Chemspec – Hunnisett DFC Heavy Duty Cleaner
     Dilute 1 part Chemspec – Hunnisett DFC Heavy Duty
    Cleaner with 256 parts water (15ml / 3.78L)
    b. Ecolab Foam Force
     Dilute 1 part of Ecolab Foam Force with 25-50 parts of
    water (75-150ml / 3.78L )

    2. For surfaces that have no direct food contact.


    Equipment – Code Dater, Scales, Filter/Dust Collector
    Tables, Walls, Plastic curtains
    a. Chemspec – Hunnisett DFC Heavy Duty Cleaner
     Dilute 1part Chemspec – Hunnisett DFC Heavy Duty
    Cleaner with 64 parts water (60ml / 3.78L)

    3. For extremely soiled areas.


    Floor, Rubber mats
    a. Chemspec – Hunnisett DFC Heavy Duty Cleaner
     Dilute 1part Chemspec – Hunnisett DFC Heavy Duty
    Cleaner with 32 parts water (120ml / 3.78L)
    b. Ecolab Foam Force
     Dilute 1 part of Ecolab Foam Force with 25-50 parts of
    water (75-150ml / 3.78L )

    B. Preparation of sanitizer
     Dilute 7 parts of Isopropyl Alcohol (99%) with 3 parts distilled
    water (700ml / 300ml)
