1. {(1,2), (2,1), (−1, −1), (0,0), (1.2,2.1)}

2. 𝐴 = {(𝑥, 𝑦)|𝑦 = 𝑥 2 − 1}

Determine the inverse, and the domain and range of its original and inverse function of the

following functions:

1. 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = 5−𝑥

2. 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = 6𝑥 − 1

Graph the following equation:

1. 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = 𝑥 2 − 4

2. 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = 𝑥

Evaluate the given function and simplify:

1. 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = 𝑥 2 − 1; 𝑓 (𝑥 − 1); 𝑓 (𝑥 3 ); 𝑓 (sin 𝑥 + cos 𝑥 )

2. 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = ln 𝑒 𝑥 ; 𝑓 (3); 𝑓(𝑥 + 1)

Perform the indicated operation given 𝑓(𝑥 ) = 1 − 𝑥; 𝑔(𝑥 ) = 2𝑥 and ℎ(𝑥 ) = 𝑥 − 1

1. ℎ[𝑓 (𝑥 )]

2. 𝑔[𝑓(ℎ(𝑥 ))]
