ABOUT THE COMPETITORS

Donald Trump
Donald John Trump, the 45th president of the United States was born on 14th June 1946in New York. Trump
was a real-estate developer and business man who managed and owned several
hotels, casinos, golfcourses, resorts and residential properties in the New York City area and around the world
before he entered politics.Trump's political party affiliation changed numerous times. He registered as a
Republican in Manhattan in 1987, switched to the Reform Party in 1999, the Democratic Party in 2001, and
back to the Republican Party in 2009.On June 16, 2015, Trump announced his candidacy for President of the
United States.
His campaign was initially not taken seriously by political analysts, but he quickly rose to the top of opinion
polls. On January 20th2017,he assumed the office of the President of the United States after defeating Hillary
Rodham Clinton. In December 2019,the House of Representatives impeached him for abuse of power and
obstruction of Congress. The Senate acquitted him of both charges in February 2020.

Joe Biden

Joeph Robinette Biden Jr.,the 47th vice president of the United States was born on 20th November 1942 in
Scranton,Pennsylvania. Joe Biden worked as an attorney before turning to politics. He became the fifth
youngest US senator in history. His 2008 presidential campaign never gained momentum, but Democratic
nominee Barack Obama selected him as his running mate, and Biden went on to serve two terms as the 47 th
vice president of the United States. During his time in the Senate,Biden won respect as one of the leading
foreign policy experts, serving as the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations for several years. His
many foreign policy positions included advocating for strategic arms limitation with the Soviet Union and
promoting peace and stability in the Balkans.
Donald Trump vs Joe Biden- An Analysis

Donald Trump’s most appealing factor to many Americans is that he is an outsider when it comes to politics
and being the President of the United States of America. Over a period of 4 years,Trump’s presidency has
accomplished a surprising amount of success which also came as a surprise for the entire world as he is
someone who has never held a political office before.
His actions of attempting to spend less instead of dishing out more and more money every year is just what
America needed. When Trump thinks of foreign policy he looks at things as “ AMERICA FIRST”
He is mostly interested in making deals with nations that will benefit America in one way or another. His
approach and vision has given America a lot of respect because they know that if they are a country like
China or Iran then he will strong arm them with tarrifs until they can’t handle it anymore and will eventually
have to make a deal.
When it comes to Mr Trump then there is always a possibility of him being in the limelight because of the
“way he speaks”
A lot of people feel that if he just sat in the White House all day and kept doing what he was doing silently
or probably in a more professional way and refrained himself from ranting and commenting on twitter, then
he would do a lot better for himself. Trump speaks in a way that sparks outrage and he doesn’t hold back
and say things in a more political way. This may seem as a pro but the truth is that he polarizes a lot of
people this way and loses a lot of support. Another issue with Trump is that he craves attention. Whether or
not he’s doing a good job as the President, it’s clear that he just wants to be in the spotlight and has a large
ego that he has trouble admitting to.

On the other hand Joe Biden has lots of political experience. He has served in the Senate on many
committees and chaired a few of them. He most notably served as the Vice President of the United States of
America for 8 years. He is fairly moderate in his approach and has always appealed to a lot of voters. He is
not a radical and has a fair enough chance to get a lot more votes than many of his Democratic candidate
rivals.
He has had a very long history of being in politics which shows that the issues he is fighting for have had the
power to greatly impact for many years but simply couldn’t get it done. These issues should have been
resolved with him being in power for 8 years. If not solved then he should have atleast made more progress
on them. His strong points are procrastinating, makes promises he never keeps, he is absent-minded and has
dementia as well.

The latest NPR Battleground Map released this week shows that Trump is slipping and Biden is expanding
his advantage in the key states. Democrats are favored to retain control of the House, and Republicans are
worried about losing the Senate.
Biden was polling at 49.7% against Trump on 5thMarch in the Five Thirty Eight average of the polls As of 7th
August,it's 49.9%.
Donald Trump's support has declined. In early March, Trump was at 45.6% against Biden. Now it's down to
42.1%.
Already, the Trump campaign has tried repeated attacks, trying to tie Biden to the "radical" left and saying
that crime would run rampant if Biden wins.
Biden's voters are far more motivated to vote against Trump than for Biden, and that may be enough.
