Term: The services of the ARTIST shall be rendered as cast above from the first rehearsal or class thru the
strike of the set after the final performance.
Dates of service: Arrival 06/06/17, Final Performance: 08/20/17.
Duties: ARTIST agrees to perform the role(s) assigned to the best of his/her ability and to attend all
classes, rehearsals and performances as called. ARTIST agrees to make every effort to work with the
PRODUCER, Director, Choreographer, Cast and Crew in a harmonious and professional manner.
ARTIST will assist with minimal technical demands of the shows as assigned including load in and strike
calls, and it is agreed these duties will not interfere with ARTIST’s primary function as a performer.
ARTIST will provide their own dance shoes including, but not limited to jazz, character, heels, pointe
and tap shoes, as well as makeup and appropriate undergarments as applicable to their roles.
ARTIST will supply PRODUCER with current bio for program/press and headshot electronically no later
than 04/23/17.
ARTIST’S Hair length and facial hair style will be discussed with PRODUCER and agreed upon prior to
the season. ARTIST may or may not be required to cut/grow/style or temporarily color their hair in a
specific way for a particular production as determined by the Director and Costume Designer.
Compensation: PRODUCER agrees to compensate the ARTIST with a stipend of $900.00 for the
production’s rehearsals/performances. It is understood that the ARTIST will be billed the value of
missing rental scripts, items entrusted to their care, and/or damage caused by ARTIST to housing or
studios. Taxes will be withheld in accordance with the completed W-4 Form, Federal and State
regulations. ARTIST will receive a W-2 Form in January 2018 for their tax purposes. It is also
understood, that since this is a seasonal position, ARTIST will not seek unemployment insurance following the end
of the employment period.
It is understood and made part of this agreement: There are young actors within the company and
their safety and security is of paramount importance to the PRODUCER. The legal age for the
consumption of alcohol in New York, whether public or private, is 21. Underage drinking, the
facilitating of same, and the possession and/or of illegal substances or alcohol on company time or
property are grounds for immediate

dismissal and will nullify all other terms of this agreement. No company member under the age of 18 is
permitted to be a guest in any company housing. The ARTIST agrees to abide by all company policies as
outlined in the ‘Employee Handbook for Summer 2017’.
Housing: PRODUCER agrees to provide shared housing for the ARTIST to be vacated no later than the
day after the final performance of this agreement. It is understood and made part of this agreement that
PRODUCER is under no obligation to arrange for housing which includes or allows guests, pets,
smoking/fire of any kind. Overnight guests outside the company are prohibited due to the shared
nature of the housing and liability. PRODUCER’s contracts for housing specifically prohibit in each of
the premises smoking, fire of any kind (including candles, incense, etc.), alcohol and/or pets of any kind.
All housing needs to be kept in reasonable cleanliness and order by the occupant(s) and the Company
manager has the discretion to judge same, as well as to assign the cleaning of shared areas on a rotating
basis as needed. If there are any damages to housing caused by ARTIST, a fee equivalent to the cost of
repairs to said damage will be deducted from ARTIST’s stipend. Should ARTIST be unwilling to accept
housing as arranged by PRODUCER including the constraints as above, then the ARTIST agrees to
secure accommodations at the ARTIST’s sole expense.
Meals: PRODUCER agrees to provide 3 meals daily to be provided at designated times each day, with
the exception of company days off. These meals will be nutritious and to the best of the ability of the
PRODUCER to allow for individual needs. If ARTIST has specific dietary needs that PRODUCER is
unable to accommodate, it is then the responsibility of the ARTIST to provide for their own meals at
ARTIST’s sole expense.
PRODUCER is not responsible for the ARTIST’s clothing or personal possessions lost or damaged by
theft, laundry, fire, malicious mischief or otherwise.
PRODUCER assumes the right to use any recorded image of the ARTIST for publication, advertising and
exhibition.
As long as all reference criteria are met, proof of citizenship is confirmed with I-9 Form and W4 Form
completed; this contract constitutes the full understanding of the parties hereto and cannot be modified
except in writing signed by both parties hereto, or made null and void by the PRODUCER during the
season if the ARTIST does not fulfill their agreement as is hereto agreed upon as viewed by the
PRODUCER.
