PSOSEC CLASS 2020-02

PERFORMANCE TASK 2 THEORETICAL UNDERPINNINGS

1. Indicators used are:

Strong Adherence on ideology - By established studies, literatures, reports
et.al. that led them to be able to trim down the prospect individuals from 25
down to 10 people. Social knowledge and awareness of what is happening
on that particular area. The political ideology of people of what right they are
supposed to enjoy but being taken away from them.

Presence of Informal Groups with Unusual Activities and Society under
stress or fear - Presence of suspense and intimidation in the area. Since we
have LGU’s monitoring and administering the place and its locals, together
with the uniformed personnel assigned herewith, they would easily notice if
there is any unusual or uncertain in their respective area.

Culture of oppression - Due to the status of the area, abusive authority is
also inevitable. It ignites the fire among its locals to fight against the
oppressive authority and to finally take back what they thought are rightfully
theirs.

Leadership Influence - This is a crucial part because without the head of the
group, there would be no ally or army behind and taking into lives the
ideologies being presented. The influence of the leaders magnifies the
hunger of its people.

Poor Justice System - This is one of triggering factors why these groups
came into life. Justice system of the country might not be implemented and
executed properly at least for them. The long process of agony and waiting
in vain of the results of their grievances.

2. Indicator used in this study is the extensive and nationwide delivery of

information and data. Maximizing the use and benefits of social media, it
could result into effective or chaotic methodology. But through proper
monitoring and guidance, social media is considered as the best platform in
communication and enhancing one’s life. Since in this 21st generation, this is
being widely used, the author of this research may have garnered the idea
that through this medium, comes a better monitoring, execution and
implementation of laws and regulations in the country.

3. Indicators used are:

Bodong as system of governance- refers to a peace pact or treaty used by

kalinga people, governance comprises of all of the process of governing hence
the bodong can be a system of governance because the people has peace pact
and appoints a leader whom they follow in a territory.

Bodong being non-ideology - Bodong is non- ideology because of its nature
that it is not practice by all and also it is not written as the real law among the
parties hence it cannot be applied to be binding in all of the people and also in
kalinga.

Pagta (written law structure in KBS) as integral to conflict resolution- written
laws can be used by the tribe to solve conflict between the two tribes and
among the people of the tribes. It must be followed because it is expressly
written and acknowledge by the people.
