Lesson Plan: Science Grade 10

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. identify the parts of the reproductive system and their functions;
b. enumerate the different changes that occur during puberty; and
c. give ways of taking care of the reproductive organs.

III. Activity/ Activity Proper


A. Preliminary Activities
 Prayer
 Attendance
 Classroom Management
B. Motivation
 The students will be shown a video presentation of advertisements
of sanitary pads like whisper, modess and sisters.
C. Analysis
 The students will be asked the following questions:
1. What have you observed from the video presentation?
2. What do you think is the relationship of the advertisement you
have viewed to our topic today?
3. What do you think teens undergo puberty?
4. Is puberty only for female?
5. How about the male?
 The students will give varied answers.

D. Abstraction
 The teacher will ask the students ideas about the reproductive
system.
 The teacher will discuss the reproductive system of both male and
female along with its organs and the function of each organ through
a PowerPoint presentation.
 The teacher will discuss puberty and what happens during puberty.
 The teacher will cite ways as to how to take care of the organs
needed in reproduction.
E. Application
 The students will be grouped into five.
 Each group will be asked to do the following:
1. In a cartolina, draw the male and female reproductive systems.
2. Label its parts/organs.

IV. Evaluation
 In a ½ sheet of paper the students will be asked to answer the
following questions:
1. Give examples of the physical changes of both male and female
when they reach puberty.
2. Cite the proper hygiene to care for the reproductive organs.

V. Agreement/ Assignment
 The students will be asked to research about the following and
write it down in their assignment notebooks:
a. Reproductive system of animals
b. Modes of reproduction of animals
