As part of this year’s performance management process, please complete the following form and
discuss it with your manager. Your input in the review process is important. This is your
opportunity to let your manager know about your job performance, accomplishments and your
career and/or professional development goals.
______________________________________________________________________________
Describe how you would evaluate your overall job performance over the past review period.
Please include any particular accomplishments, objectives met and/or demonstrated
strengths during this period.
During this first year at Brandeis University, I have:
successfully supported the development and implementation of the Hebrew Charter School Institute
co-taught the first Humanities Lab at Brandeis as the Digital Fellow (or Digital Dame) for Professor
Jane Kamensky in the History Department who designed the course focusing on the development of a
model teaching structure for student generated investigations into the life, art and letters of John
Singleton Copley, the history of Britain and the early days of the United States.
taught two sessions on Methods (content analysis and data analysis & mapping) for one section of the
HSSP capstone course
applied for and received a grant from Google for 30 licenses of GoogleEarth Pro
created and co-offered programming on the new version of LATTE, and reached approximately 30%
of the faculty
designed programming on Data & Visualization for Graduate Students in Political Science, History,
and Sociology
Led open sessions on web based tools (Prezi, Google Sites, WorkPress, Omeka, Interactive Timelines)
for Graduate Students.
List specific areas for professional/career development that you would like to discuss with
your manager. Please include ideas for training, skill improvement, professional
development and future goals.
In the year ahead, I hope to:
work with LTS and campus leadership to determine the shape of at least two blended learning
opportunities
continue to work with at least two faculty members on the development of lab and/or methodological
course materials, and to work directly with students in those courses
to assist in developing new labs and centers as part of goal 6 of the Brandeis strategic plan
to continue to change the nature of how faculty frame the support of academic computing on campus
I have been very successful working with faculty, creating the informal LARC group, and teaming with
members of the Library and Academic Technology staff to offer programming and project development
support. I hope in the year ahead to lessen some of my challenges working with Library and IT. I hope to
continue to learn about and use tools to create online interactives, exhibits (omeka and others) research
project presentations (scalar and others), models and mock-ups (3D printing) and data-visualization. It
would be useful to also have time to learn more about data-base creation and the TEI.
Describe some opportunities for development in achieving your work objectives, job
responsibilities and department goals.
Academic Computing Coordinator for Blended Learning, Interactive Technology and Teaching in the Arts,
Humanities and Social Sciences – seems like a good, but perhaps long title. I would like to work to develop
a new and perhaps more meaningful title and to (if needed) collaboratively redraft my job description.
