My objective is to be a music/band/choir teacher for students of all ages. I am well-


rounded in both instrumental and vocal music and aspire to be a reliable and
knowledgeable resource for my students.

EDUCATION

BACHELOR OF MUSIC WITH TEACHER LICENSURE, EASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY
GPA: 3.96/Summa Cum Laude. Studied both voice and saxophone in depth (primarily voice).
Proficient and active in both vocal and instrumental music. Studied music education, technology,
theory, history, and many other topics within music. Also studied acting and auditioning, and
performed principal roles in both musicals and straight plays.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES/MINOR IN CHEMISTRY, EASTERN
ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY
GPA: 3.96/Summa Cum Laude. Studied molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, anatomy,
physiology, and many other topics within biology and chemistry. Conducted research on the genetics
of Red Imported Fire Ants.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER, MOULTON MIDDLE SCHOOL/SHELBYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
Filled in for teachers of various classes including English, Business, Accounting, Graphic Design, and
Band for grades ranging from 5-12.
2020
STUDENT TEACHER, MOULTON MIDDLE SCHOOL/SHELBYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
Lead both band and choir rehearsals for middle school through high school ensembles in preparation
for virtual concerts. Other responsibilities included teaching 4th/5th grade general music, directing and
arranging for the Ukulele Club, and assisting and casting the fall play.

CHAMBER ENESMBLE COACH, EASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERISTY CONCERT BAND
Coached, identified and corrected errors, completed score study, and developed rehearsal plans for a
concert band woodwind chamber ensemble.

Play electric/acoustic guitar in the backing band for competing show choirs.
