Sikkim has been given many names:- Nye-mae-el `paradise‘, Su Khim or `new
house' while to the Bhutias it was Beymul Demazong `the hidden valley of
rice'.

•Soreng- Surrounded by lush green hills. The area is famous for the wide
variety of flowers and birds available here. A trip to Jhandi Danra is highly
recommended for nature lovers. Soreng is one of the three gateways to the
Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary.
•Tashiding- Tashiding is a small village on a hilltop near Pelling. There are a
large number of oranges orchards and cardamoms plantations around
Tashiding which can be visited from here.
•Gyalshing- Gyalshing bazaar is the longest and believed to be the holiest,
Mendang or Holy Wall, constructed by the third king, Chogyal Chador
Namgyal.
•Pelling- Pelling’s serene environment and picturesque setting is perfect for
nice nature walks and small treks. A destination for all seasons, Pelling has
hotels and resorts catering to all budgets.
•Others destinations are:- Varsey, Dentam, Sambaria, Legship, Uttarey etc.
