Required Texts (100% free): Principles of Economics by OpenStax College 2nd Edition
You will be responsible for reading the assigned chapters each week. The videos/supplemental material posted each
week will be to dive deeper into critical concepts. However, the videos will not cover every single term or graph
presented in the book, which is why you will still need to read that as well.

Title IX notice
As an instructor, one of my responsibilities is to help create a safe learning environment for my students and for the
campus. So that the college can provide students with appropriate services and assistance, I am required to share with
the College’s Title IX Coordinator any instances of sexual harassment, sexual violence and/or other forms of prohibited
discrimination. If you would rather share information about sexual harassment, sexual violence or discrimination to a
confidential employee who does not have this required responsibility, call a campus advocate at (916) 660-
8400. Campus advocates provide confidential counseling, crisis intervention and connection to campus and community
resources.
