RETAIL INDUSTRY
Retailing is the last link in the chain of production, which begins at the extractive stages
move through manufacturing, and ends in the distribution of goods and services to the
final consumer. Retailing is the business, which consider every individual as a customer,
and accounts for less than 10% f the worldwide about force but is still the single largest
industry in most nations. Retailing consists of the sale of goods or merchandise from a
fixed location, such as department store or kiosk, or by post in small or individual lots for
or step used to sell product or a service to consumer for their personal or family use .it is
responsible for matching individual demand of consumer, which supplies of all the
manufactures. The word retail is derived from the French world “retailer” meaning to cut
a piece off or to break bulk. A retailer is a person agent, agency company or organization,
Retailing scenario is changing day-by-day; everyday brings new opportunity along with
threats and learning because still retailing is in infantile stage so there are lots of things to

global survey was based on interviews with thousand senior executives and opinion
formers in 20 countries weighted against the GDP of respondent’s base of operation. The
core of the survey remains consistent over time, identifying those companies in business
leaders globally that are most respected by their peers and the reasons for their choices.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
A research design is the arrangement of conditions for collection and analysis of data in
manner that aims to combine relevance to the research purpose with economy in
procedure. I have adopted descriptive research design for analysis of data.
Information Requirements
To know the various training programs that are being undertaking at ICICI Prudential
Life Insurance LTD, information is sort from the survey of Employees as a Primary Data
and even various documents and books are also consulted for this project.
Data Collection
Data Collection can be broadly classified into two categories:
• Primary Data:
Primary Data are those which are collected afresh and for first time. The methods of
collecting primary data used are:

o Interview Method
o Through Questionnaire
• Secondary Data:
Secondary Data are those which have already been collected by someone else and
which have already been passed through the statistical process, secondary data was

• Target Population: Grade I employees .
• Sample Size: 30 Individual
• Sample Unit: Individual
Data Analysis:
For analyzing the data I used the percentage method and making the data more liable
I used the pie charts and bar diagrams
The study was conducted in jaipur .Due to time and money constraint the research is
limited to only this area.
