INTRODUCTION.
Job analysis is the process of obtaining information about jobs by determining what duties, task or
activities of jobs are. It involves a purposeful, systematic process for collecting information on the
important work-related aspects of job.
The ultimate purpose of job analysis is to improve organizational performance and productivity.
Human resource managers use data to develop job descriptions and job specification that are the basis for
employee performance appraisal and development.

Job analysis have the following outcome.


1. Job description
2. Job specification.
3. Job design.
Job analysis has the following step.
1. Examine the total organization and the fit of each Job.
2. Determine how job analysis information will be used.
3. Select job to be analyzed.
4. Collect data by using acceptable job analysis technique.
5. Prepare job description.
6. Prepare job specification.

QUESTION ONE.
METHOD OF JOB ANALYSIS BY GROUP FOUR.
Our job analysis was done by using questionnaire.
A questionnaire was developed by the group members indicating the job description and it specification
which was given to one of the extension officer’s in the Dormaa Municipality for the questions to be
answered depending on how their organization is structured and design and the various activities, duties,
job requirement and other.

QUESTION TWO.
Job description is a narrative that identifies a job title, a brief summary of the job, a description of
essential job tasks and duties.
It involve the following elements:
1. What, where, when and how job task are done.
2. What equipment, machine or tools are used?
3. Minimum skills and qualifications required to perform the job.
4. Supervision and direction for the position.

5. How the job interacts with customers, fellow workers or others.


6. Job procedures related to the job.
7. Communications requirement.
8. Other information required to appropriately define the job.
Job description has the following content.
1. Job identification.
2. Job summary.
3. Job duties and responsibilities.
4. Working condition.
5. Machine tools and equipment.
6. Relation to other job.
FROM OUR JOB ANALYSIS WE OBTAINED THE FOLLOWING JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Job Identification: Agricultural Extension Officer.
2. Job summary: Disseminate information on modern and appropriate agricultural technology and
train farmers on the new technology.
3. Job duties and responsibilities: FBO development, conduct field demonstration, organize
planning session and implement planning session.
4. Machines, tools and equipment: tractors, cutlasses. And others.
5. Working condition: a humid and a conducive environment with an optimum temperature.

5. Abilities and essential to performing a particular job.
FROM OUR JOB ANALYSIS WE OBTAINED THE FOLLOWING JOB SPECIFICATION.
1. Experience: minimum 2 years of experience in the field of agricultural extension services and
must worked in the field agriculture and ability to train farmers in modern agricultural.
2. Skills: good communication skills and basic knowledge of English and good knowledge of
language.
3. Knowledge: Microsoft office, internet and online form filling.
4. Education: graduate in field of agriculture and must obtained at least a degree in agriculture.
5. Appearance: attractive and good looking and always show cleanliness and neatness.
