Subject: Appointment letter for the post of “Manager (Mechanical)” on contract basis

This has reference to the discussion you had with us and subsequent interview you had with our client M/s.
EIL at their Mumbai Project. We are pleased to appoint you as Manager (Mechanical) on contract basis
on following terms and conditions:
1) You will be required to render services with our client M/s. EIL at their Mumbai Project.
2) This agreement will come into force on the Effective date of your joining at EIL site at their Mumbai
Project. Shall unless terminated, remain in force till One year & extendable depending upon the projects.
This agreement can be renewed for further period(s) by mutual consent of parties. Your contractual
appointment ceases with end of project unless otherwise informed in writing.
3) Compensation (Cost to Company) shall be Rs.55,000/- CTC (Rupees Fifty Five Thousand Only - Cost
to Company). Detailed components of Gross Salary will be as per Annexure – I attached herewith.
4) HRA at the rate Rs. 3,000/-(Rupees Three Thousand Only) per month will be paid on pro-rata basis. In
case you are obliged to avail the accommodation facility provided by EIL at specific locations (Pipe line,
sensitive areas etc.) please obtain our approval prior to occupying the accommodation from EIL. In case
you avail EIL accommodation without our approval, DAT will deduct Rs.10,000/- per month
5) You will observe working hours, weekly off days and holidays as applicable to project site. You are
normally required to work for 8 (Eight) hours a day and six days a week. You shall be called for working
on Sundays/holidays and in shift duties depending upon the exigency of work and as desired by RCM/Site
in Charge.
6) Payment for part of the month will be calculated on pro-rata basis depending upon actual days worked in
particular calendar month.
7) Payments towards extra working hours beyond normal working hours will be paid as follows:
a) No payment will be paid for first 2 hours behind standard working hours.

8) You shall be allowed 1 ½ (One and half) day leave per month during your assignment excluding Sundays
and holidays (as declared by client). For this leave prior approval has to be taken from RCM/Site in
charge of client and inform DAT. In case you remain absent pro-rata salary deduction will be made. No
leave encashment will be allowed.
Note: Unauthorized absence from work shall be taken very seriously by client/DAT & If employee is
taking leave before & after Sunday/Holiday will be counted as continuous leave

9) You shall be covered under personal accident insurance policy of Rs.2,00,000/-(Rupees Two Lakhs Only).
10) You may be required to travel for official duties outside your place of work (project site) and shall be
entitled to payment of travel and travel related costs as per the norms set up by our clients (M/s. EIL)
You are required to make all necessary travel arrangements. Travel time payment shall be limited to
duration following under normal office working timings / days and no overtime shall be permitted for
travel and working beyond office working hours during the tour period. You shall submit all such
travel expenses along with supporting documents duly approved by RCM / Site in Charges. (You can
travel by train IIIrd AC or by Bus & to submit original tickets to us.)
11) The number of hours put up by you shall be booked in clients (presently EIL) prescribed timesheets as
instructed by client’s officers supervising the work who will approve the time sheets. You are required to
send this approved timesheet so as to reach to our head office at Mumbai by 3rd of every month. Yours
payment will be made based on these timesheet.
12) We have the right to terminate the contract if
i) You fail to carry out the services to the satisfaction of RCM/Site in Charge.
ii) You remain absent from duty without proper approval from RCM/Site in Charge.
iii) Your conduct with your colleagues and supervisors and others at project site not
satisfactory as decided by RCM/Site in Charge.
iv) In case, you are found to have consumed Alcohol/Drugs during working hours.
In case, you wish to discontinue the contract, you will be required to give 30 days notice
to writing to us and
i) Inform to RCM/ Site In-charge
ii) M/s. DAT and
iii) Handover the charge properly to the RCM/ Site in charge and get site clearance certificate
from him and forward the same to us (DAT).
13) You will perform your services in a professional and highly skilled manner consistent with such good
industry practices as are customarily employed and shall be in accordance with established codes and
standards.
14) Your performance will be measured through job cards by our client M/s. EIL.
15) All drawings, documents, data, specifications, standards, manuals etc. issued or made available to you
shall be used only for the performance of services for particular client’s project work only and for no other
purpose and shall be returned by you to the client (EIL) without retaining any copies thereof.
16) You will follow the applicable safety rules of our client / (M/s. EIL) and be responsible for the security
and protection of our client’s materials and equipment being used by you and shall take reasonable
precautions to protect such materials and equipment from loss or damage. With this you will be deemed to
have indemnified DAT / EIL in case of laps of safety rules by you.
17) You will comply with client (M/s.EIL) rules and regulations including any subsequent changes or
instructions whenever applicable as may be issued from time to time concerning health, safety and
welfare.

a) You will keep CONFIDENTIAL and in safe custody all client’s / EIL information and not to
disclose the same to any third party.
b) Not to use any client’s/EIL’s information for any purpose other than in connection with
client’s/EIL’s work.
c) In case required you will sign secrecy undertaking for the CONFIDENTIAL
INFORMATION made available by clients/EIL during performance of services.
d) The obligation said above regarding secrecy clause shall continue not with standing the
completion of services or the termination of this contract.
e) For the purpose of this clause “CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION” shall mean any know-
now, as well as any other knowledge, data, or information of technical, commercial or financial
nature, which is furnished to or obtained by you directly or indirectly under this contract.

19) You will not join our client/EIL directly or through other agency for the next 1 year.

20) You are required to join and report to your duties by 9/11/2010__ at address given below:

21) While joining on duty at site carry following documents with you and produce the same to the site RCM
for their acceptance
i) Passport size photographs – 2 nos.
ii) Attested photo copies of qualification and experience certificates
iii) Original certificate of qualification and experience for verification.

ANNEXURE – I

Components of CTC – Rs. 55,000/-per month

Dat Engineering Enterprises will spend following amount:

Basic : Rs. 5,500/-

HRA : Rs. 2,500/-
Medical Reimbursement : Rs. 2,500/-
Conveyance Reimbursement : Rs. 2,000/-
Site Allowance : Rs. 39,070/-
Ex-gratia / Bonus : Rs 2,770/-
GROSS : Rs. 54340/-
PF Contribution : Rs. 660/- DAT contribution towards PF
CTC : Rs. 55000/-

Deduction – Provident Fund, Income Tax, Professional Tax and any other Government Tax will be deducted
as per Government rules and would be deposited in Government Department along with company’s
contribution.

Note: - Please note the joining is subject to submission of passport size photographs, attested
photocopies pertaining to qualification and experience and producing original certificates of
qualifications and experience for verification to the concerned Reporting Officer.

PAN NUMBER IS A MUST YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE DETAILS OF THE SAME WHILE JOINING.
