Human Computer Interaction

NAME: HENRY E. BALLETA

COURSE & YEAR: BSIT-1

I. Explain in your own words.

A. human Computer Interaction

Ans: Human–computer interaction studies the design and use of computer

technology, focused on the interfaces between people and computers.
Researchers in the field of HCI observe the ways in which humans interact with
computers and design technologies that let humans interact with computers in
novel ways.

B. What makes a piece of Technology useable?

Ans: Well, not to get too deep into it, but that's an interesting question. As
common as it would seem, I can't say that I've heard it being repeated much.

Technology doesn't necessarily have to to with all things material; It can be

related to certain types of ideologies. However, most of the time what makes
something a ‘piece of technology’ is if in the end it aides the human species
survival so far as relating to materials, products, tools, and systems.

Technology extends our lifespans, aides in our comfort, encourages conquests,

and seeks to teach.

C. What is the importance of HCI?

Ans: User interface is one of the most important element of a software, which
attract the user toward the application. Interaction refers to an abstract model by
which humans interact with the computing device and interface is a choice of
software .HCI refers to both interaction and interface. HCI give the idea of user
experience UX in which we can improve the computing devices and application
for the user.

Human Computer Interaction

NAME: HEINRICH AMBOS

COURSE & YEAR: BSIT-1

I. Explain in your own words.

A. human Computer Interaction

Ans: HCI (human-computer interaction) is the study of how people interact with
computers and to what extent computers are or are not developed for successful
interaction with human beings. As its name implies, HCI consists of three parts:
the user, the computer itself, and the ways they work together.

B. What makes a piece of Technology useable?

Ans: Anything that can be used as a tool to better our lives or another animal’s
life. Chimps might use sticks to get ants out of the their home to avoid getting
bitten. “Technical”. Examples of human technology include the wheelbarrow, the
calendar, the compass, and the spoon.

C. What is the importance of HCI?

Ans: HCI is a design that should produce a good relation between the user, the
device and the services which is performed by the device in order to achieve a
certain task, both in quality and optimality of the services. In aircraft HCI is
needed because we need good human interaction and clearly describe the
functionality of aircraft software and hardware toward the pilot. HCI is an
important factor when designing any of these systems or interfaces ATM
machines, train ticket, hot drinks ,banking software ,management software
,aircraft and cars. Good use of HCI principles and techniques is not only important
for the user which use your software, but it is very high priority for software
development companies.
