Ideology -the study of roots of nationalism;symbolic
representation of human experience ; experience and interpret
our realities. PHILIPPINE LITERATURE -evolved in relation in our
historical experiences , product of the writer’s creativity. GENRE
-is a kind of writing that shapes meaning through a particular
organization of language. PASYON -a Christian narrative poem.
KOMEDYA- the awit and the corrido,derived its theme and
structure from medieval Spanish ballads that extolled allegiance
to both the Catholic faith and the monarchy. LOWLAND
FILIPINOS saw in CHRIST an alternative figure of leadership in that
he himself was poor and he questioned the significance of wealth
and education. PHARISEE- whose high social status is
commensurate to his sense of morality and justice. MALOLOS
CONSTITUTION -the national consciousness thus, identified as
“FILIPINO “ that took shape was conditioned by the native landed
elite members - the ILLUSTRADO CLASS. PHILIPPINE is a rich
biodiversity, 182 living languages .GENRE -is a group of
conventional and organized structuring effects that enable the
production of meaning. HISTORICAL PERIOD – is marked by its
own unique coexistence of genres is a manifestation of that
moment ‘s ideology. SINAKULO -stage play on the passion and
death of CHRIST. SPANISH COLONIAL PERIOD- fertile group for

emergence to the CAVITE MUTINY in 1872. Critic and historian
REYNALDO ILETO makes a similar claim in his landmark analysis of
the revolutionary consciousness of the masses.In PASYON and
REVOLUTION : POPULAR MOVEMENTS in the PHILIPPINES ,1840-
1910 ILIETO argues that PHILIPPINE history is a consequence of its
privileging the perspective and the initiatives of the educated elite
in its narrative of the PHILIPPINE revolution.
