CHAPTER 1: ENVIRONMENTAL VIEW OF


FONAB ENGINEERING MECHANICAL
WORK SHOP.

I. PRESENTATON
Located at mile 3 Nkwen is a work shop that filled with
machines (lathe machines, boring machine, drilling
machine, hydraulic presser, welding machine, milling
machine etc) and tools which are used in carrying on
mechanical works and some minor fabrications .

II. MAIN FIELDS OF WORK


The work shop carries at least 6 main activities daily
amongst others;
 WELDING
 DRILING
 CRANK SHAFT RECTIFICATION
 LATHE MACHINMING PROCESSES
 BORING
 HYDRAULIC PRESSING

III. ORGANIZATION AND COMPANY IDENTIFICAT


1.ORGANIZATION
The new industrial world is now base on new norms and
security measures. This is due some remunerations and
recognition of some international organizations such as
the IOS certification (International Organization
for Standardization certifications). This
standardization is one of the main objective for the
company come next year and this will be by the Quality,
Safety, Hygiene and Environment office of directors to
be put in place.

IV. INTERNSHIP PROGRESS
My internship at FONAB ENGINEERING MECHNICAL
WORK SHOP to qualify was nice, perfect, and especially
profitable full of skills and knowledge. Being in the work
shop was an experience full of discovery and
familiarization of several tasks room, equipment, and
machines that were
very beneficial to me. The course of the internship that
covered a period of 2 months effective from Tuesdays
to Saturdays and from 8 AM to 5 PM with a break of
one hour at noon. Days which start every morning with
greeting from workers and technical staff then by the
announcement of the program of the day by the chief
instructor in charge of the work shop, then we assigned
to do the different tasks or even by the continuation of
a task,
maintenance left the day before. Below is a table Figure
1.0 that summarizes few
maintenance services performed showing their
problem, solution brought and tools used.
