Rules

Anton Eberst Competition is open to all clarinetists


and flautists regardless of their gender and nationality. The
purpose of the competition is to provide competitors and their
teachers with an opportunity to exchange their diverse experiences,
serve as a promotional venue, and stimulate the further artistic
development of all participants.

Anton Eberst Competition (FLUTE) will be held in Novi Sad at the


Isidor Bajic School of Music, November 28th – December 2nd,
2019. Competitors will be provided with practice facilities for the
duration of their participation at the competition and a rehearsal
with their piano accompanist.

There will be five Competition categories:

Junior category – for applicants born on and after November


1, 2006
A category – for applicants born on and after November 1,
2004
B1 category – for applicants born on and after November 1,
2002
B2 category – for applicants born on and after November 1,
2000
C category – for applicants born on and after November 1,
1991

The Competition is open to the general public.

Competitors whose age falls within the limits of the younger


category may decide to compete in the older category.
The competitor who won the First Prize in a particular category is
not allowed to compete again in the same category. Jury memebrs
can award ONE First Prize, TWO Second Prizes and TWO Third
Prizes.

Completed Application Forms, along with all necessary enclosures,


should be sent only on web site of
competition: http://www.antoneberst-cfc.rs/english/register no later
than November 1st, 2019.

Submitted materials will not be returned.

Applicants are required to submit:

Completed Application Form;


Photocopy of the applicant’s birth certificate or a photocopy of
the applicant’s passport (scaned copy);
Colour photography (suitable for publishing, dimensions: 9 x 13
cm, i.e. 3.54″ x 5.12″);
Remittance slip as proof of Application Fee payment (scaned
copy).

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

There is a non-refundable Application Fee for each category:

Junior category – 50€ (euros)


A category – 50 € (euros)
B1 category – 60 € (euros)
B2 category – 60 € (euros)
C category – 80 € (euros)

The Competition will provide an accompanist at the candidate’s


request. Accompaniment, however, will not be covered by the
Application Fee, and must be provided for at the competitor’s
expense. Candidates who wish to perform with an accompanist
provided by the Competition must indicate this in the Application
Form.

The Competition guarantees one rehearsal with the


accompanist at the competition, plus performance, for the
price of:

Junior Category 40 € (euros)


A category 40 € (euros)
B1 category 50 € (euros)
B2 category 50 € (euros)
C category 70 € (euros)

Candidates are also obligated to send a copy of their scores for the
accompanist no later then fifteen days prior to the beginning of the
Competition. These scores should be sent to the following e-mail:
info@antoneberst-cfc.rs.

Changes to the repertoire proposed in the Application Form will


not be allowed. Competitors exceeding the time limit will be stopped
during their performance at the Competition.

Programme is to be performed accordingly to Competition


propositions.

Each competitor must decide the order in which he/she will perform
the pieces of his/her own programme.

The Competition will provide an accompanist at the candidate’s


request.

The order of playing will be determined by the drawing. A single


drawn letter will determine the order of performers for the all of the
Competition Rounds and Categories. The competitors whose last
names begin with the drawn letter will perform first. Once these
competitors have performed, the competition will proceed
according to alphabetical order.

The performance order and schedule will be posted at the official


website of Anton Eberst Competition at www.antoneberst-cfc.rs,
7 days prior to the opening of the Competition. Competitors will be
expected to inform themselves, in advance, of the confirmed order
and the schedule of performance.

Competitors are required to register with the Secretariat of the


Competition no later than two hours before the scheduled beginning
of the category in which they intend to compete. For registration
purposes, competitiors are obligated to bring valid proof of
identification.

The Closing Concert and Awards Ceremony will be held at the


Isidor Bajic School of Music Performance Hall on last day of
competiton at 7 PM. All prize winners are required to be present at
the Ceremony, and dressed in appropriate concert attire. The Anton
Eberst Competition reserves the right to record, videotape, and
broadcast the entire Competition (including internet-transmission),
without payment to the competitors. All recordings become the
permanent property of the Competition and its directors. Such
recordings may then be used at the discretion of the competition
and its directors.

The Anton Eberst Competition reserves the right to cancel the


Competition in a particular category in the event of an insufficient
number of applicants. All applicants will be informed about the
cancellation of a competition category no later then seven days
prior to the scheduled beginning of the Competition. If such a
situation arises, The Anton Eberst Competition will fully refund the
Application Fees of all applicants from whom they have received
payment.

Competitors are expected to cover all expenses associated with


their participation at the Competition (this includes hotel
accomodation, travel, meals, etc.).

The Anton Eberst Competition reserves the right to record,


videotape, and broadcast the entire Competition (including internet-
transmission), without payment to the competitors. All recordings
become the permanent property of the Competition and its
directors. Such recordings may then be used at the discretion of the
competition and its directors.
The official language of competition is English.
