I am professional with young children, their parents, and my fellow staff by maintaining a commitment
of professionalism. I attend all the in-service trainings that are provided to me by my employer in the
beginning of the school year and all the trainings provided through out the school year. I attend the
team building meetings as requested by the director of our school and my teacher. I believe the
maintaining a good working relationship with the teach and other staff members provide a commitment
to professionalism and the safety and welfare of the students we serve.
CS VI a: I chose to become an early childhood professional because of my love for children. I want to give
back to society the best way I know how, and that is by working with young children. I want to help the
children learn to be the best they can be. Some of our children do not have good role models at home,
so I strive to be a good role model in their life. I want to help the children be successful in their later
years.
CS VI b: I believe confidentiality is an upmost important part of being professional. The parents of the
students I interact with trust in our staff to keep their personal lives as well as their educational goals
confidential. As a teacher I want to maintain trust between the school and the parents of the children
we teach. The parents need to feel safe knowing that we have their children’s best interest at heart and
are keeping their business confidential. I believe my actions and my belief that every child deserves to
be treated with respect and love and that all children deserve the same opportunity to learn and grow
are important. I strive to provide each child with quality service and positive interactions and a positive
attitude every day. I do this by helping to implement the daily activities that promote each child with
individual growth within the classroom. I also believe that my professional goals for each year are
important. At the beginning of each year I set a professional goal for myself that is reviewed by my
supervisor at the end of the year. I believe it is important for me to be able to accept suggestions that
will help make be a better child educator. I want to continue to grow and learnt to become a better
teacher and good role model for the students I serve each year.
