This document provides a table of emissivity values for various materials that can be used for infrared thermometer readings.

Materials like carbon (coke, graphite), asbestos, ceramic and black body matt have emissivity values close to 1.00, making them almost perfect emitters.

Materials like aluminum, copper, chromium, stainless steel (when polished) and tungsten have some of the lowest emissivity values listed, ranging from 0.02 to around 0.30.
