Manual – how to
1) Paper & PRINTING
Print pdf file (model template) onto your paper
It's best to use thick paper or thin card to print onto. Paper thickness is rated as 'gsm': the
higher the thicker.
I have found 200 gsm to be particularly good, but I have seen good results on 160 gsm too.
– Never use glossy photo paper. The ink will tear when you try to make folds.
– The heavier the paper, the more difficult it is to manipulate.
– The lighter the paper, the stronger your model holds in the end.
You can use different color paper on different parts of the model to get better results.
For example :
part A – mouth backgroung – optional print on black paper – page 1,2
part B – tooth – optional print on white paper - page 3,4
part C – tongue – optional print on red paper - page 5 - 12
part D – lips – optional print on red paper – page 13-29
2) CUTTING
Cut along the solid lines! I prefer using blades over scissor. Some are sneaky. Please don't
slice yourself!
3) FOLDING
When folding parts, the lines become cleaner if you trace and crease the folding lines
beforehand with a mechanical pencil tip without the lead.
Once you've cut out all the pieces, take a ruler and use the back of your knife or scissor blade
to score along the dotted lines, or for a valley fold, on the other side. You’re not trying to cut
through them, you just want to crease the paper, to make it easier to fold.
Fold along the dotted lines. Generally the folds are 'mountain folds' meaning the fold ends up
at the top, and the sides slope away, like a mountain. Sometimes the folds are 'valley folds'
which are the opposite.

4) GLUING
Apply glue to the white edges. I recommend a fairly strong all-purpose glue. When you glue
two parts together, remember to pinch that area tight for 10 seconds or so, until the glue sets.
Start to glue the model together. Match up each edge number and glue the tab to the
underside of the matching part number which your glue gun/pen or superglue. Example help
you figure out how each edge connects to using the red line.
Good luck.
