KS1200 Disk Array Configuration Guide
The configured PC IP address and the default IP address of the management network port must be in
the same subnet, for example, the PC IP address is 129.0.63.10 and the subnet mask is 255.0.0.0
1. In the address bar of the Web browser, for example, the IE, enter http://ip address of the
management network port, for example http://10.0.6.131, and press the Enter key. The login
dialog box is displayed.2. Enter the username and password, and click login. The ZXCLOUD
KS12000 storage management page is displayed.

Configuring Network Ports
This procedure describes how to configure the service network interface and management network
Interface of the ZXCLOUD KS1200 system.
Entering the Network Configuration
In the navigation tree, select System Manage t > Network. The Network page is displayed.
Configuring a Service Interface
2. Select Business from the Select Type list, and query the network information of the current service
Interfaces.
In this scenario we have two controllers Ctrl0 and Ctrl1. Each controllers contain two interfaces.
Two controller multiple sessions to one target (Disk Array Server) supports: this feature enables that
one client can create more iSCSI session to one target as need, and it increases the performance and can
create redundancy paths to the targets.
3.Click the Set button of the network interface to be modified. The Network dialog box is displayed.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Configuring a Management interface
4. Select management form the Select Type list, and query the network information of the
current management interface.
5. Click the Set button of the network interface to be modified. The Network dialog box is
displayed.
If a controller management network interface through which a user is logging into is modified, the
user needs to use a new IP address to re‐log into the system.

Configuring Physical Disk
This section describes how to view attribute of a physical disk and create a hot spare disk from
the unused disk.
Setups
View attribute of a Physical Disk
1. From the navigation tree, select Store Management > Physical Disks. The Physical Disks
page is displayed.
2. Browse hard disks in the ZXCLOUD KS1200, see figure below:
Crating a Hot Spare Disk
3. From the navigation tree, select Physical Disks > Unused Disks. The Unused Disks page is
displayed.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Select a unused disk, and click To Hot Spare, to create Hot Spare Disk.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………....
Creating a Virtual Disk
This section describes how to view the attributes of a virtual disk (that is, RAID) and how to
crate a virtual disk.
Steps
1. From the navigation tree, select Store Management > Virtual Storage > Virtual Disk.
The Virtual Disk page is displayed.
2. View the attribute of the virtual disk.
3. Click Create VD. The Create Virtual Disk page is displayed.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
4. Type the Virtual Disk Name : ( ****** ) for example (LUN). Choose Raid Level (Raid 10). The
Member Disks show the maximum number of disk that contain in Virtual Disk (LUN).
5. Set the parameters of the virtual disk and click OK.
After the Virtual disk is created successfully, it will be display on the Virtual Disk page.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Creating a Volume
This section describes how to view the attributes of a volume and how to create a
volume. A virtual disk is divided into different storage areas that are called Volumes.
A volume cannot be created if the virtual disk is not in GOOD status or its remaining
capacity is 0. The ZXCLOUD KS1200 system supports up to 32 volumes in each virtual
disk. Virtual Disk is: combine Physical Disks into one logical disk. Then need to create
Volume to see the disk as like local disk and for saving data from host (R4300).
Prerequisite
The virtual has been created.
Setups
1. From the navigation tree, select Store Management > Virtual Storage > Volume.
The Volume page is displayed.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
2. Click Create Vol. The Create Volume dialog box is display. See figure below:
Create Volume Dialog Box
3. Set the capacity and parameter on the above figure, Click OK to create a volume.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………...
Setting the Mapping Relationship
This procedure describes how to add a volume and host to a mapping group, and
forms relations between the host (R4300) and the volume in the mapping group.
On the host, an volume is mapped to a disk drive.
The volume in the mapping group is called LUN.
Setups
Querying a Mapping Group
1. From the navigation tree, select Store Management > Map Group. The group
page is display.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
For the description of group parameter see table below:
Parameter Description
Group Name: Mapping group name.
Host Name: Display the number of hosts that have been map in this group.
Lun Name: Display the number of hosts that have been map in this group.
Mapping a Hosts
Before mapping a host need to know the host iqn (iSCSI Qualifies Name or
host name) R4300 in this scenario. We can check the iqn name on R4300 by
the command: ( cd /etc/iscsi (press enter) and type more initiatorname.iscsi )
2. Click the hyperlink in the Host Number column. The Host page is displayed. All
mapped hosts are display in the list.
3. Click Add Host. The Add Host dialog box is displayed.
4. Enter the host name/iqn and click OK.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Mapping an LUN
5. Click the hyperlink in the Host Number column. All mapped LUNs are
displayed in the list.
6. Click Add Lun. The Add Lun dialog box is displayed.
7. Enter the group name, LUN ID and volume name and click OK.
