Director : Brad Anderson

It is another solid thriller, a mind-bending psychological
thriller to be exact. In the first 10 to 15 minutes, it might be boring for you to watch, but that’s how the director build the story of the movie. Your boredom will soon be an outright anger at a twist that think you’re a fool. This atrocious movie never makes a lick of sense. Ray Monroe, the main character of this movie, was on his thanksgiving journey with his wife, Joanne, and daughter, Peri when the tragedy struck. They decided to stop off at a pit stop. Peri wandered around to the site that was under construction and was startled by a stray dog then backed up to the edge of the construction site. Seeing that, Ray tried to throw a rock but too late, Peri fell down. He tried to save her but it caused the both of them fell to the site. He woke up in a daze with his wife was yelling at him. The three then speed off to the nearby hospital. Being in long queue they are, waiting for Peri’s name to finally be called stressed him. After a long wait, some workers finally agreed to see Peri, and a kind doctor appeared to change their fate. Peri and Joanne were taken to the basement for imaging. It took forever for Ray to wait for his wife and daughter to finish. He started feeling uneasy, and the story goes off in which we have to decide if Ray is insane or if everyone at the hospital is conspiring to make him so. The receptionist and doctors claimed that Ray came in alone with his own head injury, which was then treated. There was no Peri. There was no Joanne. Most of “Fractured” consists of Ray trying to convince authorities that his wife and daughter were being held captive somewhere in the hospital, possibly even being used for an illegal organ donor operation. The end of the movie is like a waking nightmare. It will make you re-think of what has happened. Things that you think is non sense before makes even less sense now, and you will realize that this whole movie has been a cheat.
