Instructions to:
1. You are required to research at least three useful technologies/tools that managers can use to manage their work priorities. Your research should
be such that you are able to describe each of the three tools/technologies and how it assists in planning and prioritising work.
ANSWER
a. Database: A database is the way in which information can be organised so the amount of information generated is minimised. Relational databases
are very popular within organisations. Data is represented in a mathematical way through tables with columns and rows. Each table should
describe an entity for example, an asset or customer. A database can be designed as a way in which to increase the security of your data. This
allows you to obtain information that can answer questions.
b. Online services - As workplaces become more dynamic and the demands on time increase, more and more businesses are relying on technology to
process information. To save time, less business personnel are travelling. Instead they attend meetings from their office. For example – video
conference or audio conferencing. These meetings save not only time and money, but also increase the efficiency and effectiveness of an
organisation’s operations.
c. Electronic diaries and mobile technology - are used more and more to assist in the effective and efficient running of business or individual roles
within organisations. Records such as appointments, emails, phone calls, meetings and contacts can be found at your fingertips
2. Using one of the technologies you have researched prepare a schedule for a typical week incorporating all of the tasks listed for the job role
provided to you by your assessor. You will also need to factor in at least 30 minutes a day for relaxation to ensure a work-life balance. This can
be any activity you choose.
Assume your working hours are from 9am to 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break and that your travel time to work each day is 30 minutes each
way. You should also include at least 2 x 2 hours slots during your week to catch up on jobs not completed.
If you are working you may create a schedule based on your own work tasks and working hours.
ANSWER

1. On the Tuesday afternoon one of the systems your team uses breaks and the IT team is working on a solution. This has pushed back your team's
weekly schedule by at least half a day. On the Wednesday morning your General Manager asks you to meet with them as an unexpected issue
has been raised; that meeting takes 2 hours out of your day. Make changes to your electronic schedule to fit these unexpected tasks in while
maintaining your work-life balance. Provide a justification
ANSWER
From this scenario we can see that the work have been pushed back because of that they cannot achieve their goals and its seem that there is having
workload. And the staffs is not having proper work life balance because of the 2 hours meeting. Because of this, I had to reprioritize some of my
work which is listed below.

Subject: Work Priorities Planning Report
Dear sir,
Please find the attached note of my research, my weekly schedule and my adjusted schedule for your reference. The reason for
my adjusted schedule is because of the system glitch that pushed my work for at least half a day and also because of the two
hour long meeting with the General Manager to resolve an unexpected issue.

ANSWER
The four healths and well being program that an employee can support during business hours are as follows:
a. Mindfulness classes
Each of the four classes that I have suggested have their own benefits and success stories among the corporate world.
Meditation and Mindfulness Classes: Meditation and Mindfulness can: help relieve stress, treat heart disease, lower blood
pressure, reduce chronic pain, , improve sleep, and alleviate gastrointestinal difficulties. Mindfulness improves mental
health.
Stress Management Classes: Taking the stress management classes helps the employees to reduce the negative
organizational stress. It also helps to increase individual productivity and responsibility. Similarly, it helps to boost up the
morale and enhance team communication.
Employee Assistance Programs: Employees who need extra assistance outside the workplace get the help they need to
perform their best. Companies like Accenture realize that support for their employees shouldn’t end once they leave the
building. By providing extra support initiatives, organizations can communicate a certain level of empathy and support
for their people, thus boosting satisfaction and confidence between the employer and the employee.
Corporate Yoga Classes: Yoga and meditation is an extremely effective stress reliever. Team members at startups or PR
agencies often have to deal with tight deadlines and overtime. Yoga is an effective way to incorporate self-care into work,
so that team members don’t have to feel guilty about neglecting work.
