There is an increasingly growing popular idea that adolescents devote their precious time to
video games. I somewhat agree that we should find a way to help them overcome this
because they significantly affect their grades, social life, and health.

The first and most crucial impact when addicting to games is academic performance. Many
research and article pieces have proof that students addicted to video games tend to have a
lower mark on their tests than their counterparts who are not addicted. The solution for this is
parents should manage their child's timetable between study and play. Besides, teachers
should pay attention to their students' performance and report to parents frequently.

Secondly, online games play a crucial role in isolating them from social life. Having a social
community and nurturing social connections is essential for us to stay healthy and happy.
However, young people who dedicate most of their time playing games will never have time
to develop face-to-face contact. Consequently, they will have a poor social life experience
and earn no benefits from a healthy social connection, as they didn't sharpen any social skill.

Finally, the problem of computer game addiction in children is the increased risks of health.
For instance, playing video games simultaneously for hours would have symptoms like
insomnia, headache. In the long term, health problems such as obesity, stroke, short-
sightedness would appear. Thus, parents should limit the time their children can play video
games and make room for other outdoor activities.

To conclude, I firmly believe that spending an abundance of time on video games negatively
affects learners—three results mentioned above: low-quality academic performance, become
antisocial, and health problems.
