A SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

IN PHYSICAL SCIENCE

I- OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:

a. State the newton’s Three Laws of Motion;

b. Give example of each Three laws of motion; and
c. Appreciate the importance of Newton’s three laws of motion.

II- SUBJECT MATTER

TOPIC: NEWTON’S THREE LAWS OF MOTION

MATERIALS: Projector, manila paper, pen, chalk board, ball, meter stick. Etc.
REFERENCE: Physical Science Book, Quipper school. com

III- LESSON PROPER

A. ENGAGE

The teacher will ask the students to close their eyes for 30 seconds and imagine the
world where everything will not moving.
Guide Question;
 What do you see in your imagination?
 What does it look likes?
 Is it possible for us to live without moving?

B. EXPLORE

 The teacher will group the students into four small group.
 The teacher will give an activity to the students.
 The students will present their outputs to the class.

ACTIVITY: MOVE ME!

 Put the ball into the ground for 20 seconds. Observe what will happen.
 Push the ball slightly and observe what will happen.

C. EXPLAIN: HOTS

The students will answer the following questions base on their observation on the
activity.
 What have you observed when you put the ball on the ground?
 What happened to the ball when you push it slightly?
 How do force affect the motion of the ball
D. ELABORATE: DISCUSSION

THE NEWTON’S THREE LAWS OF MOTION

 1st law of motion States that , an object at rest will remain at rest, and an object
in motion tend to stay in motion unless acted upon by a net force.

 2nd Law of motion States that an acceleration of an object as produced by a net

force is directly proportional to the magnitudes of the net force, in the same
direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of an object.

 3rd Law of motion States that in every action there is an equal and opposite
reaction.

E. EVALUATION

 State the Newton’s Three laws of motion and give at least one example of each.

IV- ASSIGNMENT

Study about force.
