Work Experience:
I currently work at Leo Hayes High School on a D contract, awarded on January 6 th while
working as a long-term supply. I teach English Language Arts 10, Media Studies 120, Modern
History 113, taught Social Studies 10 last semester, and I have a grade 12 Homeroom. In
addition to my duties as a teacher, I immersed myself in our school community by joining the
School Improvement Team, co-facilitate the LHHS PRIDE Club, volunteer for Safe Grad events,
and engaged in online professional learning with District Leads Jill Davidson, Melissa Walker,
Beth Christie, and Sarah Roach. I’m an NBTA school representative and took part in the May
28th-29th Annual General Meeting as an elected delegate for Branch 1826.
I worked at Leo Hayes High School as a Long-Term Supply teacher from Sept. 23 rd, 2019 until
Jan. 29th, 2020, when I was awarded a D contract and my placement was extended until the end of
the school year (June 23rd, 2020). I taught English Language Arts 9, English Language Arts 123,
and I had a grade 12 Homeroom. In addition to my duties as a teacher, I joined in the staff Book
Club, took part in staff bowling social events, took part in professional learning opportunities
outside the workday, and volunteered at the winter formal, Safe Grad leaf raking, Safe Grad
movie night, and the grad bonfire. I was piloting a school enrichment series called Beyond the
Classroom @ LHHS before COVID-19; this was cancelled when schools closed.

I worked at Leo Hayes High School as a Long-Term Supply teacher from Nov. 13 th, 2018 until
March 11th, 2019, when I was awarded a D contract and my placement was extended until the end
of the final assessment period (June 14th, 2019). I taught Individual and Family Dynamics 120,
Independent Living 110, Early Childhood Services 110, Child Studies 120, and I had a grade 12
Homeroom. In addition to my duties as a teacher, I joined in the Social Studies Department book
club, coordinated entertainment for Grad Dinner, volunteered at the Grad Bonfire and Casino
Night, attended the graduation ceremony, and volunteered at the overnight Safe Grad event.
