Unscrew the screws, the fixing washers, and then


remove the rear turret closing plate (Ref. 01 -
Photo 01).

Start the truck and place the boom so that the
extraction of the axe of the telescope cylinder is
easy.

Remove the elastic ring (left side) on the fixing


pin of the telescope cylinder.

Then extract the pin of the telescope cylinder from


the left side of the truck (Ref. 01 - Photo 02).

Using a key (N°24) remove (both on the right side


and on the left side) the N°12 screws without
head, the N°12 nuts and the N°6 screws (Ref. 01 -
Photo 10) that fix in the lateral side the sliding
block brackets on the external boom and on the I°
and II° telescope.

head, the N°1 nut that fix in the superior part the
left sliding block of the external boom (Ref. 01 -

Then remove the N°4 screws that fix in the


superior part the sliding block on the I° and II° Ref. 02
telescope (Ref. 02 - Photo 12).

To facilitate the removal of the sliding block


plates and of the sliding blocks inside the three
telescopes it is necessary to telescope the boom
(around 60/70 cms).

To execute this operation use a bridge crane or a


lift truck (Ref. 01 - Photo 13).

Remove the sliding blocks plates and of the


sliding blocks inside the three telescopes (Ref. 01
- Photo 14).
Rif. 01 Then remove the lateral and inferior sliding blocks
on the three telescopes.

right superior sliding block bracket on the
external boom) and the sliding blocks in the
external and superior part of the external boom
and the I° and II° telescope (Ref. 01 - Photo 15).

To facilitate the removal of the sliding block


plates and the sliding blocks in the external
inferior part it is necessary to lift the three
telescopes.

To execute this operation use a bridge crane or a


lift truck (Ref. 01 - Photo 16).

Remove the sliding blocks brackets and the


sliding blocks in the external and inferior part of
the external boom and the I° and II° telescope
(Ref. 01 - Photo 17).

Mount the sliding blocks brackets and the new


sliding blocks in the inferior part on the external
boom and on the I° telescope (Ref. 01 - Photo 18).

To hold the sliding blocks to the brackets is


necessary to screw the screw without head Ref. 01
(without tighten them).

Tighten the screws using a torque of 100 Nm.

Lower the bridge crane and mount the sliding


blocks brackets and the new sliding blocks in the
superior part on the external boom and on the I°
telescope (Ref. 01 - Photo 19).

To hold the sliding blocks to the brackets is


necessary to screw the screw without head
(without tighten them). Ref. 01
Rif. 01
Tighten the screws using a torque of 100 Nm.

Retract completely the boom and loosen


completely the tie rod of the inferior chain of the
I° telescope (Ref. 01 - Photo 20).

Unscrew the two screws and remove the fixing


comb of the internal chain of the I° telescope
(Ref.01- Photo 21).

Before proceeding to the removal of the five


hoses inside the boom of the III° telescope it is
necessary to mark the hoses to avoid errors
during the assembly (Photo 22).

Take care against possible lackage of oil.

Remove the five hoses (Ref. 01,02,03,04,05 - 04

Unscrew the two fixing screws and remove the


locking hoses clamp on the guide (Ref. 01 - Photo
23).

Unscrew the two fixing screws and remove the


two rubber clamps that fix the electric wiring (Ref.
01 - Photo 24). Ref. 01

Then disconnect the two connectors from the box


(Ref. 02 - Photo 24).

Completed this operation remove the Ref. 01


the protection sheaths on the hoses Ref. 03
removed before (Ref. 03 - Photo 24).

Disconnect the connector of the micro-switch on


the support of the external chain of the I°
telescope.

Unscrew the two screws and remove the support.

Then remove the split pin from the tie rod of the
chains, unscrew the fixing nuts, and unthread the
tie rod from its seat (Ref. 01 - Photo 25).

Telescope the III° telescope (around ¾ of its


length).

Ref. 01 Unscrew the four fixing screws of the chain of the


III° telescope (Ref. 01 - Photo 26) to facilitate the
removal of the five hoses and of the electric
wiring disconnected before.

Extract the III° telescope from its seat and execute


the assembly of the sliding blocks (sideways and Ref. 01
in the inferior part - Ref. 01 - Photo 27).

Tighten the screws using a torque of 100 Nm. Ref. 01


Hold the sliding blocks using some gummed
paper.

Grease the internal surfaces of the II° telescope


(Ref. 01 - Photo 28) and proceed inserting inside
the III° telescope the telescope removed before.

Then place as in origin the hoses and the electric

Execute the fixing of the chain of the III°


telescope to the guide (Ref. 01 - Photo 30) using
the screws removed before.

Mount the sliding blocks brackets and the new


sliding blocks in the inferior and superior part on
the II° telescope (Ref. 01 - Photo 31).

To hold the sliding blocks to the brackets is


necessary to screw the screw without head
(without tighten them).

Tighten the screws using a torque of 100 Nm.

Retract completely all the telescopes of the boom


and insert the protection sheat of the hoses as in
origin.

Then mount the locking hoses clamp on the guide


Ref. 01 (Ref. 01 - Photo 32) using the screws removed
before.

Fix the inside chain of the I° telescope using the


two screws removed before (Ref. 01 - Photo 33).

Use blue loctite 243 before executing the


tightening.

Tighten the screws using a torque 70 Nm.

boom and execute the positioning of the four rear
internal inferior sliding blocks of the I° and II°

Mount in sequence:

- plate and new sliding blocks of the III° telescope


- plate and new sliding blocks of the II° telescope
- plate and new sliding blocks of the I° telescope

Check that, with the boom completely retracted, a


distance between the superior sliding blocks and
the boom of 1 / 1.5 mms is recorded (Photo 39).

Then place the four lateral sliding blocks to the II°


and I° telescope.

Tighten the nuts (keep hold the screws without


head ) and the screws using a torque of 100 Nm.

Start the truck and telescope the boom completely.

Remove the protection plate (Ref. 01 - Photo 46),


the screw without head, the nut and the fixing
screws and mount the bracket and the new sliding
blocks on the superior right side of the external
boom using the fixing removed before.

Check that, with the boom completely telescoped,


a distance between the superior sliding blocks and
the boom of 1 / 1.5 mms is recorded (Ref. 01 -

After having greased the external surfaces of the


boom telescopes and the inside surfaces of the
external boom (acting in the rear part of the
truck) it's necessary to proceed to the recording of
the micro-switch on the boom I° telescope.

Ref. 01 Place the contact of the micro-switch up to touch


the support (Ref. 01 - Photo 50).

Fix the support with the screws removed before


and use some clamps to place the electric wiring.

Check the correct functionality of the boom
