    This dissertation examines task-oriented teaching in relation to 21st century skills (the 4Cs) based on STEAM education at the secondary school level. It explores creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication as key skills and how a STEAM-based approach can help develop these skills. The study uses a quantitative research design with data collected through pre- and post-tests to assess the impact of task-oriented STEAM instruction on developing 4Cs skills among secondary students. The results indicate that STEAM education had a positive effect in enhancing students' creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication abilities. The dissertation concludes that integrating 21st century skills through a task-based STEAM approach is effective for learning science at the secondary
