EU2000i Portable Generators

FUEL TUBE LEAK

Units previously inspected/repaired are no longer part of this recall.


They can be identified as follows:
Boxed generators are identified by a
“green dot” located on the carton.

Also, one of the markings Black dot


shown to the right, located
inside the spark plug access or Honda sticker
cover. 7D1 or 7D2

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled generator and contact
a Honda Power Equipment dealer to have it inspected/repaired free of charge.

What is the problem?


A tube clamp that connects a fuel tube to the bottom of the fuel tank may have been improperly positioned
during assembly, and use of the generator may cause the clamp to wear a hole into an adjacent fuel tube. If the
fuel tube is worn sufficiently, gasoline and gasoline vapors may leak out and a fire or explosion could occur.

What should you do?


Stop using any generator within the affected serial number range until it has been repaired. Please contact a
servicing Honda Power Equipment dealer to make an appointment to have your generator inspected and if
necessary repaired, free of charge. If you need assistance locating a servicing dealer, please visit our website:
