    This is where you will submit your scholarly paper.

     Students should focus on


    reviewing credible sources, Citations and style must be in APA format. Papers will
    be grading based on overall construction of the content as well as addressing key
    information from multiple perspectives, related to the topic.
    For your scholarly paper, you should:

     Select an issue related to one of the Healthy People 2020 indicators. Focus


    on an issue that impacts the profession of nursing within a larger community
    rather than a practice issue. You should pick one of the current topics from the
    2020 list, rather than a topic noted from the 2010 list (points deducted for 2010
    issues). This is a debate paper, meaning you are presenting a current issue
    and defending a position while providing the reader various perspectives. 
     Clearly introduce the topic and identify which Healthy People 2020
    indicator will be discussed and the relationship to nursing. Clarity of thesis
    statement. 
     Select at least 3 current scholarly peer reviewed articles that speak to your
    topic of interest; present your topic in an organized and logical progression. It is
    acceptable to utilize the Healthy People website, no other websites should be
    used for supportive claims, rather use research articles.
     Discuss the impact on nursing, include various positions or perspectives that
    are relevant to understanding the problem or idea. Once you have provided a
    framework, defend or support the position using current research, and
    readings. 
     Explain and provide examples demonstrating the impact on the greater
    community.
     Summarize how you see the profession of nursing reacting or changing
    related to the topic presented.
     Page length 3-5 pages in APA format (title page and reference page not
    included in page count)
     Be sure to use resources provided for APA formatting and APA manual
